Stripping interior walls 82' 310

Does any one know if the interior walls of a 310 can be stripped to bare aluminum? Would love to combine some aluminum interior with Maple and walnut cabinetry.

yes..they can be stripped without actually removing the panels
i have a neighbor who successfully stripped the interior of an 80's trailer
it looks so beautiful and without a scratch..its agreed upon that the process is very toxic and time consuming (he said it took him most of the summer)
but he convinced me...i'm gonna do it....maybe in the fall.
note that your endcaps are plastic and do provide structural integrity to the ends.
one could either paint them or fabricate alum sheet and build domed interior panels
there are a few threads explaining the process
heres one where they covered them and the whole interior with flash from h depot

Yes, you can removed the wallpaper from the aluminum sheets. It wont take you that long though if you don't count the prep time it takes you to remove anything you need, like the couch, beds, trim, etc.

I completely gutted my 24ft 82' last summer and also took on the project of removing the paper (more like vinyl stuff) from the interior. I tried several different methods before finding what would actually work quickly without damaging the skin. I used Jasco Paint thinner from Lowes:

http://www.lowes.com/pd_6058-1168-0203-30-02_0__?productId=3370378&Ntt=paint+remover&pl=1¤tU RL=%2Fpl__0__s%3FNtt%3Dpaint%2Bremover&facetInfo=

The real trick is to let the goop do the work. Get a couple wide brushes (that will be ruined), a breathing mask, gloves, a couple fans to ventilate the inside, and start slopping that stuff on. It was easy for me because I didnt have to worry about it (goop) coming in contact with anything other than the wood floor and wallpaper. If it touches ANYTHING made of plastic or painted or the like there is a good chance it will ruin it. Keep that in mind. Let it stay on the wall paper until you can EASILY pull big sections off with your hands (gloves on). You wont even have to use a scrapper. And never try pull past its absorb point. If you do, it can warp the aluminum.

PS: Nice looking interior. I really like the black furniture!

Oh, and it took me one day to strip all of the wallpaper from the interior using this method.

As much as I like the oak cabinets in my moho, I REALLY like the look of the newer AS trailers with the aluminum interiors. Just gives a really neat look. We'll see, there's PLENTY of other stuff that's GOTTA be done before I tackle something like this.
Thanks for the great pix and suggestions, Derek

i think i'm gonna do it, and rebuild the whole layout.
after polishing the beast, we think we can tackle it
we knew that we would be pulling everything anyways to fix the floors and wiring.
i'll be posting a thread soon selling(giving away) all the interior pieces, rear endcap, and exterior trim
