Someone just bid themselves into a bargain

$15,007 for an '86 345 in (apparently) halfway decent shape.

Considering the price of gas, I wonder if this is a sign of the times

The high bidder just bought a 1973 GMC motorhome on ebay two months ago. So if you want it make him an offer, I'll bet it is for sale. The other serious (i.e. non-zero feedback) bidder also looks like a dealer.

A bargain, I do agree. The sellers didn't help the sale along by disavowing all knowledge of the coach and insisting the sale was without recourse. A virtual invitation to a dealer (or two) to lowball them.

Fuel prices may have played a part, but a minor one, I think.

I was watching that one too. I sometimes think I would like to trade up, but then again maybe not....seems like my 280 works well for us. Although I do like the 345 with the wood cabinetry and all that..

Alan- getting a 345 would not be moving up. Remember there are a lot of 345's out there but only a few of us are lucky enough to have a 280.

Yes I agree....it is a move "up" only in the size and bedroom arrangement. I sure do enjoy the fact the 280 is small enough to cruise in if i leave my towed home, but big enough to be comfortable for my family of 4. Also seems to be a rare sight on the road.
