replacing motorhome sunvisors ... anyone know how to source these
Hi All,
The visors in my 88' 345 are tired. Anyone know where to buy new ones? They are 30" long.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick!
I see you have a Spit! Being in CA, I am sure you have great driving experiences with it out there. We have several, including my 1967 vintage racer. We love Triumphs!
No advice for you on the visors, sorry. Ours seem to work okay for now (knocking on my wooden computer desk)...
Keep Triumphing!
Susan

Try a tractor trailer dealer, they may have something that wide for a cabover truck.

Mine are in great shape but I think they do little on the corners to block the sun. Due to the nature of our curved and sloped windshields we have a coverage issue on the front corners. Of course you can swing them to the side to cover that area but it seems to me that a visor with a left handed slot like the newer center coverage right handed slide out additions would be appropriate.
If you're looking for something different you can order lexan tinted visors from Mill Supply Index in their step van catalog.
Or if you're intersted in spending big bucks just search Rosen Visors and you'll see the cutting edge for sun visors. Unfortuneatly these are aviation related and the price is in accordance.

A few years ago I was fixing up an older Toyota Landcruiser for my son. The sun-visors were in sad shape. I took them to an upholstery shop and it cost around $40 to have both rebuilt. They looked like new when fi8nished.

Nick,
There is a company that does visor repair and restoration. Their web address is Vinyl Specialties --- Interior Auto Sunvisors
I do not have any experience with them yet, but I am going to have them redo our Porsche 912E visors.
Good luck, Rob

Thanks for all the replies. I also found Vinyl Specialties --- Interior Auto Sunvisors and I sent them a photo. They said they could refurbing them with new material for $89. I'll probably do it but am waiting on a few bigger things including our new cork floor. Glad to know it can be done. (They often drop down when I'm driving no matter how tight I keep the screws).
