Replacing Dometic 1303 fridge

Well, I'm absolutley positive my fridge needs changing. I've found the tell-tale sign of yellow amonia dust on the tubes. My question is this! Has anyone tried buying and installing the rebuilt systems that the replace just the back "guts" portion of the fridge? I've found several companies on the net that have very convincing and detailed explainations, not to mention 1/3 the price of replacing the whole fridge! I've already succeded in removing the unit, and it looks fairly easy to seperate the pieces. They claim a 2 to 5 year warranty! Oh, I also need a new convection microwave. Sears has them $350. Suggestions???
On a side note, the info on these forums was priceless for me earlier today! I managed to remove the rear airbags and am waiting patiently for monday morning to order the Firestone 1T14F4's from Truckspring.com!
I downloaded the service manual from the thread: electrical schematic 345....or something. Awesome explanations!

I'll get this 310 road worthy eventually!

Surprise,

Have replaced the cooling unit on an Airstream 310 Classic as well as a 1995 Land Yacht.

Will take approximately 4 hours and roughly cost $400.00 (plus shipping).

More to come
