P Chassis brake issue

1995 Classic parking brake will not engage when shifter is put in "Park". I understand the mechanics of the system, but I can not repair it myself. I am having no luck finding someone to repair. Does anyone know of anyone anywhere that does chassis work on Airstream Motor Homes? Sure would like to be able to use my unit, but is pretty much dead if you can't keep it from rolling!

The hydraulic auto park feature used in the early 90's is a double edge sword, with folks reporting an ebrake lockup at Hwy speed. You always have the "manual" emergency brake to keep it from rolling. Others have installed a Parking pawl in the transmission, which was omitted on vehicles above 16k pounds. You may have more luck finding a transmission shop to install the parking pawl than finding a shop to repair the Auto park feature (considering the huge liability it comes with)

Here is a link that Peter had shared with me. RV auto brake

I have put in the parking paw in our 350LE. The e-brake is now manual. Although auto park is disabled, it can be put back in working order with connecting the linkage from the shift selector, reattach pin in the linkage to the actuator and attach the wires to the pressure switch.

I still chock the wheels if on a incline, e-brake applied first then put into park.
