are they spray cans or just small touch up kits? Also make sure that it is the gray they used on your 310.

They have spray cans. My 310 calls for Dupli Color T-183 (BGM 0534) Mica Gray. The parts stores around me carries one can but they say they can order more. Would Like to find enough paint to do all of my gray from one supplier.

That’s the paint number that I used from Dupli-color though I’ve seen different names on their cans....I know, crazy. I’ve seen it called Mica Gray and Metallic Gray, same brand, same number

Yes, Mike, I ran into that as well, the 2 different names for the BGM 0534. I ended up buying acrylic enamel for the match I wanted to see. Incidentally, I found a Dupli-color that matches my "Ford smoke" acrylic almost 100% . It is BFM0360 Dark shadow Gray (replaces T299)

Howdy Fellas!
Here’s hoping all of you are healthy and managing well through this crazy crazy time we are experiencing! So friggin weird.
Well, our trip to Colorado is cancelled obviously, they shut down their state parks a week or so ago. We were supposed to be leaving on the 15th and be gone for over a month. Sooooo, shifted gears and are focusing on some much needed home maintenance. We have cleared out the first floor of the house getting ready for the painter to come in and work his magic to repaint most of the rooms. In the mean time, we will be living out of the 310 out in the driveway! Pretty awesome to have that capability. Probably be two weeks at least of driveway camping.
Been helping my brother with a van build out for his use. He’s a carpenter also and doing some really cool work on a one ton, high top Ford that was previously a transport vehicle for a senior center.
Just though I’d check in. Nothing exciting, the 310 is serviced, gassed up, and ready to go but there she sits.

Howdy fellas! Our little paint job on the interior of the house turned into a full out remodel with me doing most the work so that’s where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing. Still checking in and watching others work on their rigs..........I seriously don’t think Miller is ever going to stop on his 370!

The rig is fully serviced, fueled, and ready to go.......but still staying close to home until this damn virus gets under control.

Almost done on the house. Waiting on delivery of the new solid wood Mahogany front door.
Unfinished. Been preparing the door jamb. The original door from 1935 was 1 3/8” and the new door is 1 3/4” thick so having to do some modification to the jamb.

Hope everyone is healthy and in good spirits. Looks like we got some new blood on the forum here. Apparently there are MORE crazy people out there!

Hoping to be back on the road as soon as possible, but we kinda like to listen to the science side of this pandemic and looks like it’s gonna be a while yet.

We have grounded ourselves from traveling in the rig since about mid Feb last. Really have missed being on the road and exploring new places and visiting family.
Soooo we are gonna take off this Wed for Colorado and stay up in Fort Collins with the kids. A week or two at each ones house, no campgrounds while in Colorado.

We’ve talked it over a great deal and we feel we can do this safely and hopefully minimal “more” risk of exposure or transmission. So we are gonna make the trip.
This guy is probably ready to drive the rig!

We have been hiding away in the Colorado San Juan Mountains for a week after a few days in Taos, NM. We never felt "in danger" and made sure to exercise the most caution at gas stations and packed enough food and water to be totally self-contained. We always wear masks, regardless of what other do and keep plenty of distance.
I was tested 2 days before we left, due to high risk job sites and took the negative results with me as a print out. Because of the test, in NM, I was allowed to move around town and enter open businesses, which I decided not to do.
Colorado is unfortunately a lot more laid back, with mask mandates in businesses and social distancing recommendations. A visit to Telluride was a bit shocking with the amount of tourist moving around town, but most were sporting masks.

For your own piece of mind and the family you will visit, get a test before you go.

I've been all over the place this year.
March-June we spent half the time traveling from Indiana to upstate New York for work. (Working in confined spaces with locals nonetheless)

July we figured things were sorted out enough and took a 3 week road trip out to Idaho and Wyoming and back. (At our age we're statistically more likely to die of lightning strikes than covid, so we were pretty fear free)

Labor day flew out to Idaho and back for a backpacking trip

Never once been asked for a negative test, or temp checked, or anything

My observations are that, for the average person, the scary part of the pandemic is over and people are generally bored of it. Life is pretty much normal most places, except with half-assed mask wearing and more hand sanitizer stations.

So if you consider yourself at risk, be sure to take your safety into your own hands. Otherwise have fun!

Rob, I couldn’t agree more with your statement about taking our safety into our own hands. That’s become very obvious to me. It’s up to each of us individually to make sure we take responsibility for our own safety and weigh the risk before proceeding in any activity. Personally I’m in a more risky category than you and I probably worry about the virus more.
I don’t think we will be in any Riskier situation on the road Than what we are at home. We pretty much self isolate while traveling anyway. We don’t eat in restaurants though we do take out, we aren’t shoppers, etc....
Sooooo, we will keep doing what we have with wearing masks, disinfecting and washing hands, wear gloves at fuel stops, and maintaining appropriate distance with others. Good to hear you traveled so much safely!

We are in my opinion a special type of individual that would own, maintain, and drive ancient buses. Outfitted with the latest and greatest safety features and in many cases take them where they were never intended to be driven and back without ever giving it a second thought and living to tell the tale.

Absolutely take the precautions necessary for your own situation, but lets not forget life is for living, that is why we have been chosen to be curators of these historical works of art...be safe and roll out.

We have been in Fort Collins now for over three weeks. Been camped out at our sons house and our daughters. The rig ran flawlessly on the way out and we have been pretty stationary since we’ve been here. One of the major fires that is currently burning up in the mountains is about 16 miles due west of town. IVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS! Gives a new perspective on Deans posts about the fires out in California. The smoke from the fire gives a real post apocalyptic look to the sky and the air at ground level. It changes day to day and today is the worst by far. The sky is a solid brown/gray color. The experts say that Fort Collins is not in danger of burning. Pretty crazy.

We spent last week in Boulder. In the 35 years I lived there I never saw anything like it. We took a ride up to RMNP to look at the leaves and see some elk. Smoke was so bad on top we turned back before the summit. Hope they get snow soon!
