It's yours Bill if you want it. I can get you dimensions if you want to estimate shipping costs. I don't have a scale to weigh it but I'm guessing around 40lbs or so.
Like I had said the freezer works great but I never hooked up the ice maker so I don't know about it. I would imagine you can get a replacement ice maker but not for sure.

Perfect! Whenever you have time shoot me the measurements and I'll figure out the shipping. Is there a company that is easier for you? Or is something like a ups pickup good? Thanks!

Ok Diesel dudes, how often do you drain the water from the Racor fuel/water separator?
When you do, do you take the top off and pour fuel in to prevent air in the line? Is there a visual clue, when looking at the clear bowl, that indicates water? When I look at mine I'm not really sure what I'm looking for as far as water is concerned. Ive seen written instructions to drain it at every fill up, is that a good practice?
Thanks fellas!
Mike

Mike I rarely drain water in the coach filters. If you buy fuel from high volume stations it is not much of a problem. Maybe high humidity areas like Florida may be a problem but the key is your fuel source.
When I was living on my boat I saw water but some of the old fuel docks were not in the best shape. When your fuel looks like coffee with cream, you are going to be draining your tank.
When you look at the bowl you can see a line with the water on the bottom and fuel floating on top. Sometime you have to look pretty close because all the crap in the fuel winds up in the bowl and it just looks like a bunch of yucky stuff. If you do drain a small amount from the bottom of the bowl normally you won't have a problem, maybe a rough idle for a few seconds. If the entire bowl is full of water you probably will have to refill the filter with fuel.

Mike, I'm with Dan on this one.
Back in the day of our beasts, not many people drove diesels; maybe a couple guys had diesel pick ups (not many), a few Merc 240/300 TD's and VW Rabbits. Diesel was smelly, icky, oily stuff that no one wanted to be around; so unless you filled up at a busy truck stop the chances of you getting water in the fuel at your local Mom and Pop gas station, (if it sold diesel at all), was pretty good.
Now days the refineries are better, the fuel is being used at a high rate, so it's almost always new stock and the new modern diesel is formulated with additives, with moisture in mind. Not to mention that I do used a good fuel conditioner.
Have I checked my water separator, yes (I don't have the racor like you do), but seriously, not very often.
Cheers
Tony

Tony don't forget some of us oil burners drove Peugeots. My first was a '79 504 followed by several 505s. They had lousy resale value so you could pick up a really nice car a year or two old for very few dollars.

Thanks fellas. I have drained the bowl but only when I've done a filter change. I appreciate the good info. Totally makes sense. I don't feel so neglectful now.

Reminds of the time I did some work for a gentleman on Saltspring Island as a very young lad. He had a couple of 504 station wagons if I recall and had a very interesting way of starting them. He would get in and start cranking; a huge cloud of dark smoke would ensue, ever so slowly changing to grey until it would finally light off and he would clatter away. This process would take well over a minute, if not two, and he'd be on the starter the whole time.
Loved the 505's, but they were built for southern France and Africa; if they so much as saw a salt shaker they quickly turned into a pile of iron oxide.
Thanks for the memories Dan.
Cheers
Tony

Finished up installing a new camera system today....still have some odds and ends left I guess. I went with the rear view safety two camera system, https://www.rearviewsafety.com/rvs-7...ra-system.html.
I decided to go ahead and run new cable, provided with the system, and follow the same path as my old camera for the backup camera. Anchored the cable on the roof up to the refrigerator vent, down the vent and through the floor, under the rig up to the heater core, up through the floor there. The multiplexor for the system sits behind the passenger kick panel.
For the passenger side view camera I mounted the camera just behind the wheel well, cable runs through the skin there, anchored it high along the rear of the well, over to the frame rail and then zip tied towards the front of the rig and came up through the same hole as the cable for the rear camera.
I ordered the optional 9" monitor and I'm glad I did.
I need to talk to their tech team on Monday about some setup items for the monitor. Its not as intuitive as I would guess it would be. The multiplexer is set up with three camera ports. Since I'm only using two, I would like to toggle between just those two. The way it is currently set, I have to toggle through all three (one blank) to switch between the two cameras. That kinda sucks. But it seems like a good system, especially compared to the ancient one I had. Good aircraft grade connectors. Nice picture on the monitor. It will be really nice to have that side view camera when driving round cities in six lane traffic. I'm happy with the investment. Around $350 with the 9" monitor upgrade.

Geez; Perfect length 31', perfect motor, Allison transmission, two overhead fans, rear camera, side camera, beautiful wife with a state pension....what more does a man need or possibly want?
Did I mention you have an Allison? You don't mind if I name drop Allison to Lynn a few times this meet? Lynn, who's this Allison Mikey likes and talks about so much?
That's okay, you should see the present John and I bought for our coaches. She's a very petit raven haired Irish girl that doesn't mind dropping her top when the sunshines.
Cheers

Also....speaking of Allison, I just requested a quote from my Jasper buddy today (Sunday) and he answered me....pretty sure I'm going to go forward with the Detroit 8.2 Litre Turbo and the Allison 540. If I like the way it performs and I think I will being that I have been driving the same tool truck for 28 years with that set up and at 28,000 lbs. or 12,712 Kilos I am pretty sure that the 370LE which tilts in between 16,000 - 18,000 should be even better. If that set up works then maybe a Gear Vendors for highway use. The other option was to install an (Allison) there she is again, 1000 which would require an electronic package to shift because it is an electronic transmission. No wires to deal with on the Detroit 8.2 or the Allison (did I say that name again) 540. Regards, Bob

Thank you Martin, it went pretty smooth. I'm slower than heck anymore, the hardest part was on my back running the cable under the rig. That used to be no big deal, now it hurts !
