Any chance of adding a NHRA parachute pack on the back of the spare tire?

Be glad you have the diesel Mike as you put it in second gear and she'll rev to a certain rpm and hold it there all day long, no matter what the grade. That's the advantage us diesel guys have over the gassers; compression braking.

Cheers
Tony

It sounds like you have fixed it. If you have the same set up as the gassers, you will have a blue fin Sure power isolator in the engine bay. If they go faulty, they can cause charging issues. I think Airstream used a small diode in the set up (can't recall why) but i do remember mine was causing issues.

Good luck

Speaking of the NHRA...on our way from Denver traveling north, we spied a BIG NHRA track. They must hold some important races there because the stands were really large and the staging area and related buildings looked like something off of television. Pretty cool looking. They also had quite a few RVs and race car trailers parked adjacent to the strip. Looked like a great facility!

Here ya go, http://www.nhra.com/schedule/2017/nh...nhra-nationals

HOWDY FELLERS!!!!!
We made it back down the mountain this morning. No issues climbing or descending the mountain roads. It was pushing 100 degrees outside on our way up, I was a little concerned about coolant temps. It was the first time I saw my coolant temps get above 200, it climbed to about 205 and as there so I didn't freak. It was HOT OUT, so I guess I'm not surprised I saw temps above normal on the climb. The way back down was just fine, third gear most the time with a few spots where I dropped it into second. Stayed off the breaks for the most part, hit them before a few sharp turns but that was about it.

The repair to the voltage regulator sense wire did the trick on the overcharge situation. Voltage back to normal, thanks to all of you who helped problem solve on that one. We got er done. That has been the biggest issue with the rig so far, feeling real good about that. She's running like a champ.

We can't say enough about traveling in this old beast.....it is absolutely a joy. Comfortable as can be, plenty of room for the two of us, and I love driving this sweetie. Just love it. Its kinda funny how many times we have had sites right next to great BIG 40-45 foot new rigs. It makes our 310 look like a matchbox toy RV. We are comfy as can be, don't need more room and glad we have every foot of the 310. A real joy.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park was incredible as you can imagine. About 10,000' elevation and carved in the middle of the pine Forrest with a smattering of Aspen. Its been since 1980 since Ive been up in those elevations to camp. Quiet, meditative, awe inspiring, you name the adjective, BEAUTIFUL!!! Here are a couple pics of our site.

Check out the Pawnee campground at Brainard Lake if you have more time now that you have some confidence in driving in the mountains. The Snowy Range in Wy is also another great escape from the crowds. We really miss the mountains. We been across most of the mountain passes in our 360. Some of them not paved like Kebler Pass.

HIYA STEVE!!!

Yup, we made it up and down AOK. I was going to email you some pics. Boyd Lake was lots of fun too. Great trip so far, just drove past your street yesterday on the way to Cherry Creek. We saw that they had the entry torn up pretty good! Hope all is well!

They are putting in a new water main....said we will be torn up for about a month. It was fun coming home from Steamboat with the street barricaded. I had to get out and move the barricades and cones to get in.

Last few days in Colorado before we start heading back east to Illinois. We are camped at an urban state park, Cherry Hills SP, carved into the suburbs of southeast Denver. Only 15-20 mins from my daughters house so it's been a very handy spot the last few times here. Saw this AS slider a couple sites down from us.

Beautiful pictures Mike.

Yeah, I do like the old Eagles and Prevost bus conversions myself, but don't have the wallet, facilities and nohow to afford to have one.

Cheers
Tony

Thanks Tony! It sure has been a great trip, great adventure at times....a bit busier than usual with the wedding and related activities. But just great so far! Over a month now on the road and the 310 continues to be extremely comfortable for the two of us and our furry four leg family member.

Well...........our wonder dog Wrigley met up with his first SKUNK last night about 25' outside the front door of the rig. It was dark and I could see the silhouettes but I thought it was a cat....when it didn't run away I knew the deed had been done. OOOOH MYYYYY LORD! Lynn n I put on the rubber gloves and immediately got him shampooed under the outside water spigot. Oh man it was bad. But apparently we got it quick enough because no smell this morning. Ooooooooh my.

Headed back east. Camped in Washington KS right where the trip started with the get together.
