ID:	267137 the old flooring. You can just see the edge of the battery hatch under the mat, no attempt at all at a quality installation. Its a good example of how bad a job was done overall. I wouldnt dog it so bad except that the person that installed it refers to himself as a "carpenter". grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thank you Vycan. Awfully kind. Consderring your recent developments Im guessing flooring is about the last thing on your mind but.......if you were to get serious about this flooring please let me know. Theres a couple things about the install I learned as I went. One thing is, that since it is a repeating pattern with the click lock system, you need to order more than you would think. Rule of thumb for flooring might be 15% but I ordered 25% extra and used every single board!

WOW Mike, that new floor came out so nice Bro. You and Lynn should be very happy with that! Downright YACHTY! So nice in fact that you can proudly say
Carpenter installed !

And just where is that porthole installed, hopefully close enough to the centerline that future skin leaks won't test it.
Really is it a mirror?

Keep up these improvements and we will have to find a special showplace spot for you at future gatherings.

Cheers Richard

Awwww Richard, youre too kind. Just having a little fun with the porthole. Its a mirror and hung on the door to the head. It does operate though so we are trying to find the right udea to put behind it when someone gets curious... I still need to post some pics of the floor all trimmed out. We are real happy with it so far. Been out a few times and its comfy on the feet, cleans up real well too. We will be doing some short trips this summer and then back across country to Colorado in December for the birth of our first grandchild wooooooooohoooooooo! Plus, Lynns last day of work is Dec 1st!! Cant wait.

Aloha buddy

Would you be willing share with me (and the team here) what you folks are doing with insurance coverage for your rigs? I feel like Im under insured with Progressive right now and my agent hasnt been much help in sorting out an "agreed value" policy. What Im most concerned about is being insured for something reasonably close to fair market value should the rig be deemed "totalled" in an accident. We have a very wide range of rig values here on the forums so Im interested in what everyone is doing with insurance coverage.

Also, Im interested to know if any of you have used a professional appraiser of some sort to help in this process. Who did you use? In person or by pictures and other documentation?
How and where do you find the prices that comparables have been "sold" for? Easy enough to find what they are listed for or asking price but I dont know where to find actual selling prices for comparison.

I think everyone would probably find this info helpful. Thanks for any input on this subject that is no fun.

Mike, I am sure you read my repeated posts about the stated value policy.
This is what I know: it varies from insurance to insurance co. Some require an appraisal, that can be done by sending pictures to an appraiser or have the appraiser come to you,. The cost around here is $300-500.
If you go that route, make sure you have market value ads on hand AND a list of the cost of improvements you have made.
State Farm in Texas (stuff varies from state to state) has the option to have a stated or agreed on value policy, which you HAVE TO get your agent to look into, if they are not familiar with it and most are not.
All they require is current picture of the Motorhome or trailer.
I was lucky to have an agent that was into restoring RV's, so he made me aware of it.
If for some reason you can not get it, make sure to keep all receipts and labor you pay out (yours is worth nothing ).
When my 79 got hailed on (before I knew about the stated value), they offered me $7000.-. it already had a salvage title due to previous hail damage. But, I had repaired most and presented a complete folder with receipts and walked out with a 17k check.
My next big claim was on my 93 34' trailer, Hail damage again, but I had the stated value policy in force. The adjuster offered me $5000.-, which I declined. After presenting a written estimate from an Airstream dealer, I was paid the full amount of the estimate (more than triple the amount of his offer), because it was below my stated value policy. I did not even get a salvage title on that claim.
I hope this helps some.

Mike , I was thinking about your plan of coming to Colo. In Dec.
Since Lynn will be a free bird then. Any chance you could be inticed to venture on down to Az for some warmer winter weather, and some new country?

Could be fun to do some exploring together.

Cheers Richard

I have switched agents for similar reasons. I run a business and have lot of different policies. I have audited the auditor many time. Imagine having to pay an auditor yearly (it's called "expense constant") and then having to audit the auditor...
The problem is that you can't afford not to have insurance, so you may as well try to get the best you can.

Actually Richard AZ is on the short list for us. Not sure if it will be this year but could be. We want to head down near Mesa to catch a week or more of the CUBS spring training camp! WAHOOOO! Would be a great time to hook up and hang out. We've never been to AZ so it would be all new to us. We will stay in touch on that one. But we are definitely headed your way, just not sure if this year or next.

Mayco,

if you come through Albuquerque, drop me a PM. I'd love to see your rig.

We will also be spending a lot of time in CO, once the 280 is roadworthy.

Im replacing tie rods and cant find the torque specs. Thanks to Brad I a manual but still cant find specs for the tie rods. Did Chevy refer to them as something other than tie rods?
Anyway, does anyone have the specs for torque? Thanks fellas.
