Many thanks to Dan for sending me a repair manual for my 1981 Airstream Excella 28. It was amazing that within less than 6 hours I received a reply from Dan with the info. I was looking for. Big shout out to Dan.

Hi Smartstream! We are closing on a deal for our first Airstream this Thursday. It is a 1981 Excella Limited. I've been searching for a manual (PDF preferred). I've seen several other manuals available but not a 1981 yet.

Hi folks, welcome to the forum.

I am guessing you may be looking for the manual for a trailer, rather than motorhome, (only because Airstream only made 28ft Excella in 1981 and you signature shows you are looking at a 31ft).

Either way the owners manuals are avialble from the Airstream archives if you take a look here https://www.airstream.com/owners/doc...ive/year/1981/

Thanks. Yes, I should have mentioned it is a trailer.

I did find the site you linked to. However all the documents related to 1981 are brochures, floor plans, etc. None I found in the list are manuals. I’m reading a 1980 manual now since it’s the closest. I’ve heard there was a 1981 supplement to the 1980 manual. But haven’t found that yet.
