Just don't look too much closer

Gotta figure out where to cut and put the access door on the side wall now, it's getting very close to being all buttoned up!

So I've been working a lot of projects in parallel, which is terrible because it feels like nothing will ever get done, but I'm *finally* in the home stretch on some of them

The woodstove/washer remodel is close enough to call it, all it needs is a vent cover that's in the mail, and some sheet metal trim

Finally got new vanity fixtures!

The airstream only came with one, and it was rusty

Anybody know of any wife-approved LED vanity bulbs?

Hey Rob, I looked quite awhile for new fixtures and didn't come up with anything that would fit and look good. I ended up sanding and painting mine, which turned out ......ok. Would you share the make and where you found those? They look really good

Mike
I had looked for quite a while as well about a year ago and found nothing. Then looking again last week these popped right up, I think they must be new on the market

at 15" long I was worried they would be too short but they turned out just right

Why has my thread been so quiet lately?

(Nobody actually asked, but starting with a question adds dramatic effect)

Well, for one I just finished my masters degree in materials science, but more importantly in the airstream context, I also just acquired a 40*64 shop! Plus a good number of acres of dirt. And some swamp too.

If I did my math right I should be able to fit at least 7 310's in here

Congratulations! Does this mean school is over with for good?

Your shop walls look kinda funny when you're inside. Is that caused by some sort of force field designed to keep your Airstream safe?

You bet they are!

Might need to fold the mirrors in, but it'll fit

Thanks! And yes, that round gave me enough gray hairs, lesson learned, school is bad for you. (Probably didn't help that I scheduled closing for the day before my final exam)

Panorama didn't like the corrugated steel

In other news, my one year old furnace started acting up a couple days ago. It would run for a few minutes, then shut off and go into lockout, requiring the thermostat to need to be toggled, then it would fire right up again. A quick google identified the limit switch, so I ordered one on amazon, swapped, and it seems to be working properly now.

I also got around to replacing the thermostat at the same time! Very easy upgrade
