Mayco,
Most transfer switches should be represented by the attached diagram. There probably has been a failure in the timing circuit or relay coil. You could try and fix it but save yourself some grief and wasted time and buy another one.

thanks, I looked t it again last night, I agree, whatever controls the transfer switch appears not to be working....probably a five dollar part. I am going to replace it with a new one, just have to find one that has a good 20/30 second delay. Any suggestions ? Road test is still a go for this weekend, rain or shine. Installed the new factory speedometer over the weekend.

One possibility is a Progressive Dynamics PD5100. I bought one a few years ago to replace an original. It works fine and has the 30 or so second delay built in.

Finished one more window this morning, I received the fire suppression system that I ordered-AFFF foam with four remote heads. Two will go on the intake manifold, one forward of the carburetor and one behind, one head in the generator compartment, and he last one in the refrigerator compartment....this will end my worries of a fire that I probably would not be able to put out while driving. Did the road test today and got the 325 inspected. Great drive and about 80 degrees out. R-12 dash AC worked awesome, blowing through he ducts at about 41 degrees. I ran it hard at 55 MPH approximately 2800 RPM up a seven mile mountain road. It ran hot and the aux. fans came on at approx. 255 degrees. It still overheated though, the hot light came on so I pulled over and let it cool down for ten mins. I am running all synthetic oils now, engine and transmission for the extra level of protection. When I was doing the water pump I questioned myself on the 5 blade fan...I am going to try a 7 blade fan to see if that helps. the new fan clutch works extremely well and is very quite. I was originally thinking of running 4:11 gears instead of the 4:63 that came with it, but it is so comfortable to drive at 55 at 2800 RPM that I think I will leave it where it is now for the time being. Well, next week....off to Cooperstown for the Memorial Day Weekend.

What fire system did you install? I was thinking of something similar myself.

Will post more info on the AFFF fire suppression system soon, received the new 30 amp transfer switch today, finished running the remaining RG6 cable on Sunday. I will install the new 30 amp transfer switch and the fire suppression system after the Memorial Day weekend. In-Motion Satellite will be installed during June before our big trip to Lancaster PA in July. I decided not to buy the tow dolly right now, I think towing 3200 lbs. of car might be to much for the 325, we will rent a car when we get there. Now for the summer I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor !

Side window track replace
Bobmiller1
I am doing side window track replacement on one of my side rear windows. Got every thing out and cleaned ready to go back in. Quite a time consuming job you are right.
What did you find was the best way to reinstall everything. I have replaced the front slider tracks and they were easy to reinstall, This looks like it could be a bear, Any help would be appreciated as me and glass are not very good friends.

Forget using the adhesive on the fuzzy schengel, it only makes a mess. But do run it all the way around 360 degrees, not done by the factory, it will hold the fixed window in place better and cut down on road noise. Replace all the gaskets as this is the only time you will be able to re-screen the screen. A good can of quality silicone will make everything go back much easier, clean weep hole track out the best you can and replace weep hole covers. All parts to do this job are available from Inland Supply.

I had a slight distraction this week from my 325. I traded my 01 390XL in for the 07 396XL that Bill Thomas Camper Sales was selling...funny thing...we were there in 07 picking up our 05 34' Classic 34 S/O when he was delivering the 07 396 to the new owner. I said to myself then...someday. We will pick up the 396 in August.

We are here in Lancaster, PA for a week, a flawless ride from home, 8 hours of driving, took all state roads at 55 MPH or less. Only a short drive on I 81. I have been so busy with work and my distraction of purchasing a 396XL from Bill Thomas that I did not have enough time to replace the wiper motor module that Kota sent me until I had to pull into a rest stop during a rain shower !! The heat is oppressive hear 94 ! I'm glad I wired the 50 amp service into the generator compartment. We are in a great campsite, but the sun beats on the 325 all day long...a must to have both AC's on 24/7. I will post pictures tomorrow. Two Saturday's from now we leave for MO. With our 390XL. To pick up the 396XL. I like driving the 325 at 55, very comfortable, decent fuel economy, she'll go 70 or better, but what's the rush, plus you don't see the fuel gauge going down. Will post fuel economy when we return, with the rebuilt carb, tune up, vacuum lines replaced and all the other work I did as of now I think it's around 7 MPG.

We got back from our trip to Lancaster ! Awesome performance avg. 7.9 MPG W/generator running, got the DirectV working with the KVH in-motion satellite system that I had on the 390XL. Only two overheats on the trip...less than I expected, one going down, one coming home. In October will pull the nose off AGAIN, take the three row out put the four row in, also got the new seven blade fan that I wanted to replace the five blade. Well, off to MO. This Sat. To trade in the 390 and pick up the 396....more later.

This coming weekend 8/29, I will be finishing the installation of the fire suppression system. I strongly suggest this add-on for anybody wishing to protect there motorhome. The plan is to install 4 heads, refrigerator, generator, and 2 on the engine. I will post the pictures next Sunday 8/30.
