Introduction - 1989 345LE

Howdy Folks!

Ive been lurking for a while, but just wanted to introduce myself before I started blasting away with questions.

im brand new to RVing (tent camper) and recently bought a 345 that I am excited to get to know, maintain, and even improve. The AS is in very good condition. I have already completed a few minor projects along with a "required" upgrade to the lounge flooring.

Minor projects include:
Replacing the fridge brain
Fixing the inside/outside temp gauge (well, inside works now)
New shower curtain
Front windshield reflective screen

Flooring:
Our recent snowmageddon was kind enough to uncover a manufacturing defect and soaked the carpet in the main living area. Looks like someone was not careful when installing the carpet and slit the ice maker pipe slightly for about 4 inches. I now have cheap laminate that looks WAY better than the carpet. Too bad it was going to be a giant job to rip out all the carpet in there. Will save that for another day.

We did take it out on our first adventure a few weeks ago. A whole 2 miles to a local RV park just to make sure we knew how to run stuff, test stuff out, etc. Was a great way to break into RVing!

Couple pics from our first outing and one from the inside with the new floor. Next trip we are planning to go a whole 10 miles away!

Thanks for the pics; a very nice AS 345. Go around the block a few times, make it 12 miles.

Congrats on the new purchase!! Hope to see you in it at some Airstream events. Next summer is the International Rally in Maine. That would be a great trip in the Airstream.

How many miles are on it?

Its got just under 40k miles on it. Havent checked the generator, but it fires easily and runs great.

Issues Ill have to tackle in the coming months:
Ice maker doesnt work
Fridge doesnt run on gas
Engine AC doesnt work
Fresh water fill level doesnt work
Outside air temp doesnt work

I figure Ill need something to do while Im "relaxing" at some camp ground. So, Ill mostly plan to work on these during those weekends.

Ive also started building a desk I saw that Magnet created for the front passenger seat. Great idea!
