How wide is your dinette?

I need furniture for my 300LE as the previous owner removed the couch and one of the chairs. I think I will go with a full set of captains chairs, couch, and I'm thinking I will replace the two chairs and ice maker with a dinette. The total width of the rv is 86". I need to figure out how wide the couch is and how wide I can make a dinette without cramping the walkway.

Hs anyone else tried this setup? I did find a photo on line...the hearse rv had a dinette...
Thinking of using discountvantruck.com

Thanks Sebastian

DO NOT USE Discount Van and Truck!!!! I bought a lounge from them this spring. They were 2 months late in delivery from the time they originally told me, never answered their phone, and never replied to phone messages. When the lounge finally came, it was very poorly made. Parts that had nutserts on the back to attach the upholstered panels to the metal frame were upholstered on the wrong side or upside down so nothing lined up when it was put together. So instead of bolts they used drywall screws. The metal frame was not square or straight when welded together. I spent 3 days rebuilding it myself. I cut it all apart and re welded it. I moved the mounting tabs to line up with the nutserts so I could bolt the upholstered panels back on like it should have been in the first place. I tried to call them but after 6 tries and no answer or call back I just fixed it myself. Do not do business with them unless you want to get SCREWED!!! Ask me how I really feel.

Wow, I had read some other not too happy reviews on the Internet, but there are usually a couple out there for any company that has been around for a while. What rv do you own? What would you recommend? New flexsteel is out of my budget...

I have a 77 Argosy 24 foot trailer. I had bought cushions and a matching jackknife couch from Discount Van for my 64 Avion about 4 years ago, and was very happy with the quality and construction. That's why I went back to them for my Argosy lounge. Boy have things changed with Discount Van & Truck. My experience is false promises of delivery times, and crap when they finally do deliver. I would have spent way more to avoid the lost time camping, and all the work to fix the crap I had already paid for months ago. I have no idea of where to go to get your monies worth on similar RV furniture. I forgot to mention, the black paint they used on the pieced together plywood used for the upholstery backing, was still wet and either stuck or transferred to most of the upholstered cushions. I had to deal with that also.

I figured out what to do...put a 36" dinette on the driver side and a 32" couch on the passenger side, should work well and not feel too cramped. I may sell the coriander counter, ice maker, and heater.

Ok, so I went with shop4seats.com full set. They had the best prices, and I paid $140 extra for the "quick build" option. Order placed Sept 26 and arrived today. I called to ask them yesterday for shipping info as the promised delivery date was today. They said it had not shipped yet, but agreed to ship next day. Good packing and everything looks great! There is one small detail they got wrong...the end of the couch is not finished off, but they are going to take care of this for me and give me a refund. Customer service has been great!

I have to wonder if there were some internal problems at Discount Van and Truck. There was strange stuff on their website a few months ago and now a new company with very similar web site, products and prices. They are also located in the same area. Just some interesting coincidences.

By the way I bought some seats back in 1986 from Discount and some more seats a couple of years ago and was surprised it was the same outfit. I was happy both times.

Discount and shop4 both sell Seatcraft...same stuff made in LA. Discount are in NV and shop4 are in CA. No tax for discount in my case, but they charge for shipping. Shop4 offer free shipping and appear to be more than a one man operation with great customer support and nice people.
Nice quality and design, but the Ultimate Leather is not as nice as real Ultraleather. Really nice for the price and custom fit.

Discount started in Carson near the intersection of the Harbor and San Diego Freeways and was in Garden Grove three years ago when I bought my last seats from them. They still list a 562 area code so they appear to be in the same general area. I live in Washington so no sales tax and shipping was next to nothing. Not a lot of communication but they were delivered when promised and I'm happy with the seats. Recently their web site has had some strange stuff and the Shop4seats has a very similar product line and lists a La Habra address which isn't very far from Garden Grove. Like I said with the similarities I just wondered if one was a split off from the other.
