Hot Rod on Extreme RV

Just saw a program on "Extreme RV" tv show showcasing an Airstream 1991 RV (25 foot unit I think) with a 510 HP motor and new interior. They used long haul trucker seats at $5000 per unit for driver and co-pilot. Done by Timeless Travel in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Hot Rod on Extreme RV

I visited Timeless several times while they were working on that project. Pretty nice no holds barred project. I was hoping to see it completed and see it run but was out of town.

Seemed like a lot of their work these days is converting AS trailers into roach coaches.

I beleive this unit is Sonia's from New Jersey....had you been at the 2016 Classic Motor Home Get-Together you could have seen it in person. Regards, Bob

Sure wish we could have made it. This year we parked for 3 days at a RV park 5 miles from my folks place. I spent one night there. Well, until 1:00 am anyway. The phone rang and mom fell going to the bathroom and my dad couldn't get her up. I've taken it for a couple 50 mile drives just to keep things lubed and the cobwebs out. Next year!

Oooh - I saw that episode. They hopped that MH up with a racing engine. As I recall the work was done in Denver. Nice resto-mod approach.

Hey Dennis, I am having trouble finding the episode. Do you happen to remember the title?

Thanks!

I don't remember the name of the episode but included a firm in Germany that creates mega off-road units based on Mercedes chassis and an upfitter in Van Nuys California that uses Sprinter vans as the base vehicle.

Wow !!! Sonia that is outstanding. What a beautiful coach. I am afraid you would be more likely to find a can of WD40 and a socket set on my counter than a bottle a champagne and crystal glasses. That is simple over the top!

I was at the Classic meet too but decided that due to weather conditions and muddy footwear, going into Sonya's sweet rig was not to be; maybe next time if it's nice out. I promise to have my hands in my pockets at all times.

Cheers
Tony

It terms of those German guys with the modified 250. They used to run a company called custom-manufacture.de which is no longer in operation, but they still have some videos on the uwepuma YouTube channel or google monster airstream wohnmobil. Annoyingly, I was too late to save the interior!

No Problem Tony. We didn't have enough time. Unfortunately we will not be able to make the 2017 rally. Our daughter is still in High School and it will be around the finals. So hopefully another year.

Cheers,
Sonia
