Headlight Minder Fuse

I have been replacing the tail, turn, and clearance lamps with LEDs. I have noticed the head/parking lamp switch in the dash gets quite warm after a while and the new lamps clean up things, too.

I usually try to be parked and a couple of cocktails in by dark, but occasionally we need the lights.

Upon replacing the side marker lamps near the wheel wells, I had a socket being a stubborn and in a moment of weakness I poked around at the contacts with a probe and sure enough, I shorted it.

This resulted in silencing the "beeper" that sounds when the lights are on and the loss of power to the side marker on the opposite side of the coach. All the other lamps on the parking light are still functioning.

Does anyone have any knowledge of the location of the "beeper" ?

It seems the logical place to start.

Regards,

JD

I found the it. And, I was mistaken: I had also lost the clearance lights on both ends.

It seems Airstream simply spliced into the P30 tail lamp circuit at the headlight switch with a in-line glass fuse holder and routed power first to the ICC Blink switch on the dash.

From there, they powered the clearance lamps and side markers.

The fuse holder can be found by placing yourself upside down in the drivers floorboard.

Perhaps this will help some poor soul in the future.

Regards,

JD
