Gray window channel inserts
Hey,
Well, I talked to my guy last Thursday. He finally got the machine running, and he knows how to use it now. The guy that sold it to him never showed him how it works. Aperantly, he's got that figured out. So as of Thursday 8/9/19. I'm on his list . He told me, he'd be getting to it this week. I'll keep y'all posted. I'm sorry I didn't get back to everybody, buy I had no news to tell. Have no idea the cost either. We lol have do a prototype first. So, I'll let y'all know, when I know. DJ

Sounds great! If you still plan on doing a bulk order in order to keep the cost down, i would be interested in a full set for my 280. I think that is 14 pieces for 7 windows and maybe bring it up to 20 total for the inevitable breakage of 1 or 5. Thanks for doing this legwork.

Definitely good news! I am also interested in a full set for our 310...plus extras...20 as well.
Thank you for bird-dogging this!

Hey,
Hi guys, well, I'm hoping this comes to be. It's been a year sines he and I first talked about this. He s quite capable of doing the job, but he's a 2 person operation. Buying this machine has been a huge frustration to him. The guy that sold it to him baled on the training. So in between running his business, he's trying get this thing figured out.
I do plan on a bulk order, that should keep the price down. What that price will be, who knows. Hopefully, it s a go this time, I'll keep y'all posted. The prototype will be a little beefier than the original. We re planning on filling in the lower area of the channel. It ll be a solid lower corner. That should take care of the cracking alone the edge problem . I think more rigidity at the base of the channel, should really enhance the sliding of the window. . I hope. DJ

Are you guys talking about replacing blown double glazed windows? I have a 1999 LYX 355 with 5 I would like to replace, but so far the price of such prevents it. A local shop wants $225 a pane. For 4 sliders that is a lot of$. I would like to do it myself. What do you know about such a venture.

Hey,
The classics had a very cheap plastic runner, that went on the top and bottom of the side sliding windows. That's the the gray channel I'm trying to have made. If your coach has window channel like the classics, this may work. My guess is your windows are differant. Do you have a thermo pane type glass? If so, a glass shop should be able to order it. It's also going to be a tempered glass, I ll
Wager. That's what bumps the price up. I don't think my stuff will help you, sorry. DJ

If you guys have had any luck with window channels, I’ve got a 1979 Airstream Motorhome that I’d love to get some usable channels for.
Regards,
LongwayRob
