Generator runs... batteries provide power...

But the generator simply is not charging the batteries! Is there something I'm missing?

How do you know? Are you putting a meter on the batteries with the gen set running?

No, the Magnum battery charger remote (ME-RC) was showing nothing and the plug tester showed nothing while it was running. Now, when I plugged in to shore power the remote showed the batteries charging.

Also, on the panel above the stove the GEN light comes on and the switch on the dashboard lights up while the generator is running - I can shut the GEN down with either switch BUT I can't get it to start up! I can start the GEN by using the switch directly on it. Ideas?
