Fuel pump location 81' Excella 34'

Would I find the fuel pump in or near gas tank or would it be mounted on engine?

Assuming you have a 454 motor, you probably have a mechanical fuel pump toward the bottom of the motor at the right front side. A lot of us also have electric pumps to help get the fuel to the mechanical pump, usually mounted in-line near the tank.

Thanks for the detail. I figured there might be 2. I did locate the mechanical pump. Unfortunately, 1 of the 2 bolts played hard to get out. Now that bolts head is rounded off. I tried everything I had to no avail. Impact wrench, lubricant to soften the rust bond, ratchet with a long arm for more torque, tapping on head to hopefully loosen, tightening back down on opposite bolt to take some of the strain off, nothing worked, now I'm planning to drill it out. I didn't use a torch for good reasons.
Seems like every bolt takes a half a day, in the Texas heat! Must be the heat.

Thanks again for your help. Any suggestions.
