Does anyone else have 90’s classic motorhomes?

Silver Bell’s maiden voyage was very eventful. I will post more later. While dry camping I tried to microwave breakfast while making coffee. Pop. Fuse blew somewhere. Tried the panel above the bed. Not energized. The gfi wouldn’t test. The genny is running perfect and the next day shore power 30A everything worked. In the trunk there are two boxes with switches or auto switches or something like that. Could that be damaged?

Does anyone else have 90’s classic motorhomes?

My wife and I were blessed by getting our ‘94 Classic 36’ at auction. Only 51,000 miles. The Silver Bell. My awesome wife remodeled the interior and I got it running, new tires, new radiator, and got the generator going again. I love the classics but I don’t see many like mine from the 90’s.

There are a few 90s classic owners on here for sure. Those are nice units, with the factory fuel injection and 4 speed.

I love the interior you went with, it looks like my parents 78 GMC palm beach!

Welcome to the insanity.....I mean forum. You have a great unit.....not sure about the green interior though, I’m one of the few remaining purists. Regards, Bob

We like our 95 360 so much we bought a 94. A true manifestation of Einstein’s alleged definition of insanity.

In 1993 Airstream redesigned the Classic Motorhome for the first time since it started with the Argosy models in the 70's. Long overdue improvements to the windows may have let to the redesign of the nose. Mechanically a much desired diesel pusher was added to the gasoline powered line up that lasted until 1996.

In the early 90's Airstream added the factory fuel injection and started to offer the 4l80e 4 speed transmission first as an option and then standard equipment.

As I mentioned to you that I had more info on your electrical system, I want to follow up on that since you started your own thread.
The 90's models have three transfer switches that control how the 110v system operates.
The power from the generator takes over via the first transfer switch. Its the boss, regardless of being plugged in or not. Since it is 30/20 amp it will let you run both of your AC's at the same time. A selector switch should let you choose between front AC and Micro wave. As you found out, you always have to vigilant of what you use in the kitchen at the same time.
The second transfer switch only kicks in , if the generator is not running but you plugged into a 30 amp shore line. 30 amp will only let you run 1 AC at a time or just the Microwave, very limited. Thats why some of us converted to 50 amp shore power or added an additional 30 amp for the rear AC
The third transfer switch in the 90's classics only gets activated with no shore power and no generator, but with the built-in 12v to 110V inverter turned on. It will power only 1 outlet in the Kitchen for small appliance use, but will not power the Microwave or AC

Check for a tripped breaker on the generator itself.
