I repaired my black tank with fiberglass a year ago and its still leak free. I put three layers of cloth down over the crack if I remember correctly. I cut the cloth about four of five inches wide and a couple of inches past the crack.

Cesalie2, wow, spent the morning reading your adventures with Penny. What a journey! How will you ever part with her? You know this machine inside and out. I was particularly interested in your vinyl removal and finally on page 12, mayco asked the question. That infra red tool really does the trick; the walls under the vinyl look so good. I am going to remove some vinyl in the bathroom of my 72 outlander and your great journaling is going to be so helpful. I'm looking forward to following along. Good job.

Good advice!
Attempt #2 failed, maybe the third will work.

Tried it with Jabsco Paint Remover...what a pain!
I can’t imagine stripping the whole coach with it.

New Gray Tank arrived, rough install to test fitment.
Replacement Gray Tank choice had to balance capacity, 15” recess, 3” flang offset placement, slower drain and DWV stack location. A lot of compromises had to be made...
Still have to come up with solution to connect shower drain and DWV...

Played with several ideas for plumbing layout for the shower drain and main DWV.
I think this is the one...
Will install a 1 1/2” flange into gray tank and “T” the Main DWV and shower drain.
Will install Wednesday...picking up new to us Toad on Tuesday.

It looked good in the photo’s. Too many little things wrong...adds up to a big thing...
The search continues,
