De-horning the Airstream

When I bought my M/H it had 5 horns, a pair of Sparton electric trumpets on the roof, a pair of air horns under the hood and the original Chevy horn. I have removed the Spartons and the air horns and reconnected the little cheap original horn. Never been a fan of very loud horns. If anyone is interested in one of the trumpet set I would be very happy to trade for something I could use... like a generator compartment door? Both sets work and seem to be in good shape. I have the tank and valve to go with the air horns.

What have you got for a MH Tony? Can you complete your Avatar with the details?
Nice horns!

My M/H is a 1985 270 rear bath with the Isuzu 6BD1A diesel engine and Allison AT545 transmission. The odo reads about 115,000. Just spent about three days replacing one of the front air springs!

I don't have a picture with a small enough file size to use as an avatar. And I have not found a tool on my Macbook computer that will reduce file size. So I'm still working on that.

Love this forum... so much good information and inspiration.

If you open a picture in the "Preview" program on your Mac and go to "Tools", there is an "adjust size" utility that lets you do just that

I would love to have those air horns and the valve. What else is on your trade wish list? Let me know if you would consider an outright sale of that horn &valve.

Ricky,

To be clear you want the air horns and valve but not the air tank and compressor thing? Well I had hoped to trade for some kind of aluminum louvered door that I could use to replace or repair my damaged generator compartment door. However, if I can get $10 plus shipping I think that would be fair. I don't have much else lying around right now, was there something specific you needed?

If that sounds ok to you call me at: 254-266-0327 and we can work out the details.
