We arrived at Angels Camp RV on schedule...before the sun went down!

Dad's Toy ran like a charm. It sure is a nice coach to drive.

I got 9.5 mpg on the flats...Red Bluff, down Hwy 5, through Sacramento, down Hwy 99 to Lodi!

Rest is mountain driving...don't want to know that mileage! LOL

My dad had the off white vinyl done many years ago. I removed the entire dash a couple of years ago and painted it.

Just a little update from Yosemite. We are having an awesome time. The weather has been beautiful. It did rain most of the night and is clearing this morning. We had a great dinner at the Ahwahnee last night.

Only issue is the furnace died last night. I checked that I'm getting 12 volts to the furnace and check the thermostat wires as well. Circuit board is probably blown and the furnace is only less then 2 years old! Good thing I have Mr. Heater with us!

The horse is back in the barn! The Yosemite trip was a success. Only issue was my 1.5 year old furnace crapped out. I got 9.5 mpg on flat highway driving and 7 mpg with combination of flat highway and mountain driving...a lot better then I was expecting.

Silly question, but did you check the 5amp circuit breaker in the outside compartment of the furnace?

Never a silly question. I don't want to admit how many times in my career a careful fuse/breaker check was the root fix. I had a partially open fuse act like a resistor one time. It made a line printer output fade out left to right. A fast check of the fuse with a multimeter swing the needle, so I assumed it was good. Once the 'silly question' was asked, I rechecked and found it was defective and measuring 10 ohms or so. That let the voltage drop when print hammers were firing.

Learned from that one--really check for very low resistance on a fuse--especially with an electronic meter.

Nice!

What were the air valves behind the hood door for?

Hi Vycan,

I agree with rmkrum, not a silly question at all. I did check fuses and made sure I have 12v at the furnace. There is no fuse at the furnace that I could see...I think the old furnace did have one though.
