Damn, that turkey ain't going to fit in the motorhome oven! BBQ to the rescue! OK, ok, we knew it wouldn't fit. Had lots of good wine, sat around the campfire, went riding out back. We had awesome weather including cold nights down to 33 degrees!

Seems to me like you have some large temperature swings there.... just seems like yesterday that it was 100 plus degrees and the wild fires were really close. Glad to see you guys enyoyed a great Thanksgiving feast ! Regards, Bob

It does seem like the extremes are becoming more prevalent. I missed the short window of time again this year to do any painting on the exterior...only got one mirror painted! Hopefully this winter brings lots of snow and rain!

Its always fun having Thanksgiving in the motor home as long as the furnace works and we don't run out of propane! This year it was all good!

Its a Carson Racer Deluxe 20 foot. 7000#, tandem axle with brakes on both axles. Its my garage and work shop at the ranch. I turned the front into an RV...before I decided to get the motor home road worthy.

I'm thinking of an 18' to 20' v-nose one of these days for transporting my TR6 when I make trips. However I don't want to buy a trailer until I know the Argosy is going to actually make it out of my shop again under it's own power!

Do you leave the trailer at the ranch when you're off somewhere in the MH or do you take it with you?

Curious as to why a V nose?

The old saying "always get a longer trailer than you think you need" is absolutely true. Wishing mine was a 22 0r 24 footer. My 20' would be ok if I didn't have the quad as well.

The trailer stays at the ranch. Since it is an "RV" as well, I leave it on the space that I am currently occupying. That gets me around the having to give up my space. Pulling my 20' trailer even unloaded will have to wait for my modern diesel pusher...well I can dream right? I have a 16' flat trailer that I pull behind the AS if I take my RZR or we go to Burning Man.

Does your MH struggle with a 20?

Using yours as a portable garage is a great idea and if it's located close to where your Airstream is most of the time so much the better.

I've got an 18' flat trailer with dove tail that I can use but I'd really like to have my car inside while being towed if possible.

I've never tried to pull the 20' with the motor home. I'm not sure how it would do with an extra 5500-6000# behind it! Some day I want to hitch it up just to take some pics!

When I pull the flat bed loaded up, I don't even know it is there...I'm guessing maybe 3000 - 3500#'s. When we go to Coos Bay, Oregon and go up over the Siskiyou Mountains between Calif and Oregon, I kick ass on my buddies SOB with a Ford 460. He gets so mad when I tease him about it...not sure I understand why! LOL

I would think if Robfike can tow this 24' trailer with a Porsche inside I would think your 280 could easily handle the load of s 20' trailer

My old 310 easily pulled the 3,500 lb flatbed trailer with a Triumph race car in the mountains of Kentucky, Tennessee & West Virginia. I'm actually quite surprised at how well these rigs work as tow vehicles.

I wonder if one goes from miles per gallon to gallons per mile with a setup like this? I would love to take my "service garage" with me when I go "racing" my RZR, but not too sure about that extra 7000lbs.

Crazy thing is, that trailer weighs more than the car inside it.

I was looking at a trailer to have my KLR and a Can-Am Spyder for the wife inside. So an aluminum trailer 7x 16 tandem axle plus bikes would be almost 3000 lbs, which would be the same as flat towing our 4dr Tracker LT. Both setups I think would test the climbing ability of my poor little Isuzu.

I received my backup camera today for my new truck. If it works well, I'll probably get one for the motor home. The wireless one I have sort of sucks!

Nice looking camera system. How long is the cable from the camera to the monitor?

I always wondered how well the wireless backup cameras would work in an aluminum motorhome.

Cable is 65', so plenty for a 26' box truck or my 28' motor home!
