"Karma" to you for helping Chris out.
I was watching " Outrageous Kitchens" on HGTV last weekend. In one $100,000+ kitchen, they featured the built-in blender. Yep, an Newtone. OK, it was a new one. At least it didn't look like it had been salvaged from an Airstream.

Thanks Dean. I have no attachments for the Food Center, but am trying to restore this '79 to original (more or less). See pic of new counter top installation. So if you were going to trash them I would love to have them!
I recently pulled the control knobs off the old Domenic RM100 refer and sent them to an Argosy owner in need of them. This is a great support group.

Dean, I don't think I would ever use those. But much thanks anyway. What I better try to find is a blender (daiquiri maker!)

Hi Chris, that's ok, I couldn't imagine ever using those myself!

I ordered a new fresh water tank from Inca today. If the old tank doesn't leak, which I don't think it does, I'm going to use it for an extra gray water tank when we go to Burning Man. I'll set it on my flat trailer.

Yeah, I have all those puppies, too...never used them more than once, but it was just to use them because...well, they were there and so was I...Wanna talk about Kirby Vacuum attachments?...I think I have most of the stains off the ceiling, but that might be age fade...how many of the working class can say "well, I vacuumed my ceiling today"? OH, wait, I'm retired...

Wow!, I'm rich, it's the same unit we have. Never use it, since we like our Margaritas on the rocks.

Upholstery Costs...
While having the windshield in my truck replaced this morning, I walked around the corner to an automotive upholstery shop. I showed the owner a couple of pics of my jack knife sofa and the two barrel chairs. $4000-4400 to redo! Well it is the Bay Area, I was dressed too nice and he figured out it was an Airstream. I was hoping around $2000-2500, but even that is too expensive right now. Sewing lessons are in my future!

Upholstery estimate...
I stopped in at another upholstery shop in town and got an estimate of $1300 for labor for the couch and two barrel chairs and about $650 for the material that I like (18 yards). This sounds darn good to me. The guy has been in town as long as I have and his work looks good!

Sounds like a good price.
Don't forget all the other bits like cabinet end pieces and the wall pieces by the sofa and the bed.

Cabinet ends are already done, but I do have those magazine compartments behind the barrel chairs!

The new water tank and switches were delivered today. Just waiting for the galley flooring to come in and then it is another trip up north to do the final interior work. We are off to Yosemite next month so its got to get done!

The new fresh water tank is in and hooked up. I also pulled the cab carpet today. Floor is in good shape except for a small area in the upper right hand corner.

That's the dash layout I like the most. The Argosy dash is horrible, no instrumentation to speak of and the 1986 345 dash sucks because you can't see the speedometer or tach while driving
Looking good Dean!
Brad

Thanks Steve. I don't know if it was '83 or '84 that they made some big changes, but definitely '84 has a different dash.

Thanks Brad. I really like this dash as well. I can see the tach and speedo pretty well while driving. At one point I was thinking of redoing the instrument cluster, but after painting the dash and cleaning it all up, I really like this dash.
