I would not take that...
It was one day out or warranty when you returned it or when it went bad?
You have proof it went bad because you posted it a the first day back from BM!
Either way, any business worth its salt would play fair and replace it rather than risk you posting on Yelp or other feedback like on this forum that they are junk and dont honor or back their products just like they badmouth other companies on their website.....
And I quote from the site....
100% Brand New! Made in the USA! - We don't require a core charge because all of our inventory is 100% Brand New. Watch out for the other guys selling 'rewound' junk. 'If they want your core, find a better store!'.
The Best One Year, No Hassle Warranty! - Unconditional warranty like no one else in the business. If you have a problem with your high output alternator we will repair it at no charge to you for one year!
Put your money where you mouth is Powerbastards!
If they step up, then they are good....
If not... They are on my, and everyone elses Crap-list.

New alternator is in and working. It's the only thing in the engine compartment that is clean and shiny and has no playa dust on it. My dead alternator is just one day out of warranty as of today! I had really thought I bought the piece of crap about a year and a half ago. I was one day behind schedule otherwise I would have had the thing into town yesterday and I would have given powerbastards.com a call then instead of today. Well, at least the owner at Northstate Alternator and Starter in Red Bluff was very helpful!
I also replaced the 4 pin connector to the alternator since the old one was always sort of loose. I ran a new larger sense wire from the connector to the distribution block on the front of the firewall for the engine battery. Why do we call it a firewall on the MHs since the engine is behind it instead of in front of it...strange! I also cleaned up some of the wiring harness at the front of the engine.

Today is playa washing day. I washed 14% of the exterior this morning and will do another 28% after the sun dips below the mountain!

Well surprise, surprise! The MH passed the smog check with no problem this year and with room to spare. I did have to get it smog checked a year ago when I registered it and this year as well. I'm guessing that I will be required to have it smog checked every year...what a pain!
I didn't really do anything engine wise this year from last. I did do maybe 4000 miles of trips over the last year...maybe I cleaned out the cylinders with all the foot to the floor mountain driving. Last year I did have an old tank of gas in it and this year I changed the oil and filter a couple days before the smog check. The problem last year was that the CO% was over the max at idle. This year it was way under!
I left the auto shop and got right on the highway heading north to Coos Bay with the ATV in tow. We are staying at the Seven Feathers Casino RV Park tonight. I've already given two tours of the Airstream. That really makes my friend with SOB jealous.
Two things are not working this trip, the cruise control and the hydraulic jacks. I suspect the cruise control is a fuse issue. The hydraulic pump will run, but the jacks are not extending. Again I'm thinking maybe a blown fuse on the wiring to the solenoids that control the fluid to each jack...well I can fantasize cant I?the engine was pulling strong over the grades through the Siskiyou's. Tomorrow it is on to Coos Bay and the sand dunes!

Arrived at the KOA RV park in Coos Bay (North Bend actually) about noon. It's about a 2.5 hour drive from Seven Feathers north and over the coastal mountains to Coos Bay. We like the KOA park here since it is geared towards ATVers and we have access to the dunes from the park. With all the kiddies back in school it's a bit quiet here which is heaven! It's a bit chilly here at night this time of year, so I'm using the furnace for the first time since the end of last winter.

just read your last post and we will also been at the dunes this coming weekend. We will be at Jessie Honeyman state park Saturday and Sunday. We are heading out Thursday am for McMinnville air museum for two days then to the dunes. We are working our way to the Petaluma tin can tourist trailer rally then over to Jackson for the airstream rally. Let us know if you will still be in general area.

Hi Deb and Dave!
It's great to hear from you folks! I see that Jessie Honeyman is in Florence about 40 miles north of Coos Bay. When my parents were alive, they lived in Eugene and they made many, many trips out to the coast with Dadstoy. I think my mother's favorite place to go was Sea Perch RV park right on the coast somewhere around Florence. She loved to sit in the Motorhome and watch and listen to the ocean waves.
We will be heading out about noon on Saturday and staying Saturday night at Seven Feathers again, then down to Redding/Red Bluff on Sunday. It's beautiful weather here this week! We were joking earlier that it always seems to raining when we come here, but not this time.
Are you heading down the coast into California or taking Highway 5?
Dean

Not in California. Some towns/states allow it with the right equipment.
