Sonny has been great to work with. The family, over the years, as bought new old stock from across the country. They supplied the new hinges I needed for the coach, and instructed me on the best way to do the job as well.

Get that old bong out of storage. If you don't know what a "bong" is, research is needed, because I've never seen so many at one time except during "Burning Man".

Bong is a type of Drum... Right?

LOl, JK, having grown up the son of a 6' 7" 320lb Policeman in England, I knew a little, but kept well clear...
My Dad's words ringing in my ears..

"Just remember son... You EVER bring the Law or disrespect to THIS door, and after I have let the Authorities deal with you..... I'LL BE WAITING."

This year, Burning Man went to a lottery system for the ticket sales. Lots and lots of complaints, but I am one of the lucky ones...I got my ticket confirmation email! Sounds like the scalping system will be in full swing shortly. Yes, I believe it will be a week of debauchery and heavy drinking LOL

The only form of transportation at Burning Man is feet and bicycles. We ordered our cheap cruiser bikes and I'm going to make a home made custom bike trailer to tow behind my bicycle. I'm making the frame out of electrical conduit. I want to shape the top like an Airstream trailer. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Radiator hose part number

This is what the man told me: Gates
Upper #21441
Lower #24442

I would double check with Gates to make sure they are correct......I am surprised the lower one is not 21442........but what do I know.....this was like pulling teeth to get these numbers...hope they help. paula

Dean, if you're able to create this contraption, POST PIX! As far as suggestions, I recommend contacting Keyair, this guy seems to be able to create most anything, lol.
Thanks, Derek

Electrical tubing is exactly what was used to make the Bowlus Road Chief. You'll want to keep it light enough to pull, but the challenge will be keeping if from blowing over, or durable enough to handle a tumble. How about that metallic insulation (can't recall the trade name) that Keyair has on his moho windows? Shiny, cheap, durable, easy to cut, should hold a fastener, and will adhere to aluminized tape. Take lots of pictures!

Well it's still a bit confusing. Paula, the upper hose they installed on your 24', is 8767. The label on your hose is a Napa Auto Parts label. I'm going to guess that they cut the 8767 to fit...nothing wrong with that, but doesn't help us know the real part number. I don't think either of the Gates part numbers are correct for the vertically mounted radiator. So I don't think they installed Gates hoses on your rig. I'm going to bet the two Gates numbers are for the P30's with the horizontally mounted radiator. And, yes the bottom hose that they stated should be 21442, not 24442. 24442 is a straight section of hose.

A Gates 21441 is a Napa 8153 which I think is the correct shape but is too long...it probably fits the horizontal radiator. The Nape 8154 looks like the correct size. I had gotten this be via a Goodyear part number and is shorter and I'm guessing for the vertical radiator...I will soon find out! The 21442 isn't even close to the hose on my rig. I have an unused lower hose that is the GM 343414...the original hose that is no longer available. My dad had this one as an extra. I'm going to install it since I can't find a "new" correct one. The Gates 21442 isn't even close as far as I can tell.

I'm just guessing of course, but Paula I don't believe your mechanic is being honest with you.

My radiator hose saga continues.

This is an example of what the frame made from conduit will look like.
