Played with the hydraulic levelers today, nice feature. Assume they were installed post manufacture as every other coach I've read about has the control levers installed to the left of the driver. Our control levers are mounted behind the drivers chair.

UPS delivered my Zip Dee Awning replacement parts, WooHoo!
Town & Country Mobile RV Repair is coming to the house to perform the installation while I am at work, doesn't get any better then that!
I plan to finish provisioning the coach Thursday evening in preparation for a weekend getaway with the DW and our good friends. Also proud owners of an Airstream Classic 310.

Mobile RV Repair team arrived this morning, removed the broken assembly, installed new, adjusted and we now have a working awning!
Town & Country Mobile RV Repair is very thorough and conscientious. I will continue to recommend them to friends and family.

You only did a half hearted attempt at ripping the awning off... Thank goodness!
Mine's PO did it really well! Its funny to see that little ding that it left... if only mine was that small!
The Kohler oil leak...
See if the filler pipe is loose... I know of about 6 that have had the same issue!
Its tricky, but not impossible.

I have read and re-read your repair scheme for the Kohler generator.
I need to replace the oil cap (loose) first and observe the leaking...
If it continues to drip, will follow your repair method.

Tragedy
Spent Mother's Day at a nearby campground (about 35 Miles away). DW and I had a great time, one of our best weekends ever.
Left for home on Mother's Day. About 10 feet from home the engine died, I coasted to a stop and started smelling "electrical"...
Quickly exited the coach and smoke began billowing from the grill area. Called 911, by the time the fire department arrived the front was on fire.
The windshields were cracked from the heat and water hitting them, interior was wet from hosing down the dash.
Thank The Lord neither of us were hurt.
Insurance company is going to total Kimee due to the smoke damage and toxic fumes from the dash burning.
Thus ends the short lived saga of Kimee...

Oh wow, thankfully you're both OK. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss 
I wonder what the cause of the electrical fire was? If you can, post some pictures of the damage.

For all the care and love, sweat and curses...they still aren't as important as their owners... Didn't happen on the highway, not in the campground...one less in the scheme, but there are more left...now you have an abundant supply of parts...sorry for your loss...m

As we have all and already said, we mourn your loss, but it could have been SO much worse.
When you guy feel up to it, can you give us more details on what you think happened?
Fire... and mostly electrical fires are a worry for all of us... and there have been a few over my time here...
Looking at the haphazard way it was wired... and the even bigger mess done after by PO's and careless mechanics, makes me stress.
I have on my hit list to replace and repair the zip ties on the harness that runs above the drivers side of the doghouse, as I have already noted that they are brittle and would drop right onto the exhaust manifolds. Also someone did a crummy job of the main + wires that run under the chassis rails to the front... one of which is way to close to the exhaust and showing heat marks as a result.
You had not had her long, and these things are tricky to spot and only become obvious with familiarity.
I just added a large/larger Fire Extinguisher to my want list, and also some rethinking of my electrical isolation switches...
Nothing can bring your beloved and hard earned Kimee back, but hopefully the Insurance will remunerate you well. and you can find her twin sister.

Sorry to hear of your loss and glad that everyone is safe.
Lessons learned for all... ALWAYS have a good, large capacity, ABC fire extinguisher on board. One suited for grease and electrical fires. I have one in the bedroom and one near the entrance. Another good addition would be an easily accessible power cutoff switch for both coach and chassis batteries. This would allow for a complete shutdown of an electrical fire DC source before it turns into a run away situation. Hope the insurance company is kind.
So I guess you're back to the ole 95 LY Katy. Maybe she was just jealous. Have you ever seen the move Christine?

Insurance adjuster came out Monday while I was at work and took a lot of pictures and crawled around the front, rear and inside the front compartment. He did not share his findings other then to inform the DW that our coach would be treated as a "total loss".

Brad,
Insurance adjuster inspected coach on Monday while I was at work.
He crawled around and under and spent a lot of time under the front hood area. Took numerous pictures and informed the DW they would treat as a"total loss".

Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and kind words.
While I do not possess the necessary skills to positively identify the failed part, I believe it began under the dash near the firewall.
Over the years some of the wiring was replaced as components were replaced and accessories were added.
While grateful we are safe, emotionally unsettling to enter the coach when I think how badly this could have been.

I had a side bar conversation a while back with a couple of other forum members about the need for adding fire suppression systems to our motorhomes. My original thoughts were that it would likely be a waste of money. However after having seeing what happened to you I'm not sure sure adding a suppression system wouldn't be a bad idea.
Check out RV Fire Suppression Systems or Race Car Fire Suppression Systems for some ideas.
Even though I'm totally rewiring the dash of my 74 Argosy there is still the potential for something like this to happen so I'm going to seriously consider adding something to the engine compartment and dash of my Argosy.
