Cruise Control

Anyone know what cruise control this is on my '82 280? It worked well for years, but not working at all now. Are there any docs for this CC? I would replace it with aftermarket, but not feasible at this time. Thanks!

Appears to be a stock GM Vacuum unit, appears a 454 ...I recall seeing them on the Workhorse chassis...ck all the lines make sure they are good and all cables free.
You could search the salvage yards but a new aftermarket may be the best option.

Following up on Bobís advice, besides the vacuum lines check the switch on the brake pedal arm. GM systems had a plunger switch that would disengage the cruise when the brake pedal was depressed. If the switch is out of adjustment the cruise will not engage.

Ahhh yes, I remember how a pot hole could dis-engage on our 95 burb.

A couple weeks back when I checked all vacuum lines and vacuum components on the top of the engine, I also checked the vacuum lines for the cruise control as well. I also verified the brake switch is functioning and is adjusted properly.
