Am having AMP Technology running boards put on the mother truck Tuesday. The owner of the business is looking for a pre-owned Airstream, but didn't really know very much about the brand, so I told him about slideouts, the evolution of the curve from 13 to 7 to 5 panels... then mentionrd motorhomes and showed him this thread.
He was so excited, he almost drooled on my cell phone. Then I showed him funeral coaches, and the NASA transport coaches. I think the forum has a new member, and if you know about anything in Florida for sale... well mention it here.

I suppose I should be happy somebody is having fun compared to what I am doing. Looking at the pictures I got hungry and quit for the day. Next year I should be out of excuses.

All of the “Get-Togethers” have been great for one reason or another....whether it’s been the rain or the snow for the most part. But I have to say this one was the best.....3 awesome days with the best weather we’ve ever had ! This is the first time we have gotten together and shared 2 dinners back to back. A great experience in my opinion. A special thanks to Charly (Streamquest) for his fine restaurant “Embers” for providing both bacon wrapped pork chops on Friday night and awesome steaks for Saturday night. We picked up a couple dozen ears of sweet corn from a local farm stand, fresh Italian bread from Cooperstown, and a load of fresh pastries from a Cooperstown bakery. Anne (Shepard57) provided a fresh salad. You think Tony (Sidekick/Isuzusweet) is a good cabinet maker ???? Let me tell you, he missed his calling.....one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever tasted.....you’ll make a nice wife ! Special mention to our new comers Dave and Janice (ontheroadagn) for the longest distance traveled (Oklahoma)...beat that one. It was great to see Dave and Ann....a class act to say the least. Did I mention oldest member that attended.....I’ll leave that one alone, it would put you all to shame if you knew who it was. A great crew to have at any gathering, enjoyed every minute as always and will definitely have another in the spring. Gabby, don’t forget to post the group photo.....we’re all waiting for it ! Stopped at Pennwood on the way home from the get together. Pretty quiet. Closing down in a couple weeks. 1st time here. What a neat place.
Drove in rain again all morning. Got here about lunchtime. Gladly trade driving in rain again today for the rain free weekend we had for the get together.

Just got home in a torrential rain. Rendezvoused with some friends in London Ontario and camped on Lake Huron.
Nice trip! 1200 trouble free miles. Knock on wood! Customs crossing Canada, both directions, was easier than paying tolls on the NY Thruway. No lines and just a couple quick questions. Good roads across Ontario and the drivers are sane. We’ll visit again.
