Well you have gone from a 2700 mile trip to 1700 miles. At least it's going in the right direction. Maybe one more short move and we can make it.

There is no requirement for it to be at an Airstream Campground. The only requirement we have had in the past is an Airstream classic or argosy motorhome.

I was just at Winton Woods Campground in Cincinnati OH, and it was very nice. It's in the middle of town, surrounded by park, running trails, and a short distance from the Newport Aquarium, Cincinnati Zoo, and the Cincinnati Natural History Museum. Before that I was down at St Louis for a few days, and that was also a wonderful experience.

'Rats'......

Just heard from my US accountant, in order to comply with the "physical presence test" (so I don't pay tax in both US and UK in 2017), I can't return to US until July, which means I can't spring my plan of attending the Get Together - unless we have a Skype link!

So let me get this straight, you're rather skip the Get Together just so you don't have double taxation.... can't say as I blame you

Distinct possibility Peter.

Now I can't attend the meeting I had in Philadelphia on the 24th-25th May, it has two impacts. One positive - I will have time to drive over to Germany on 26th and attend the European Get Together. One negative - after the meeting I was due to rent a Uhaul, go collect parts from Brad and Joseph, collect my two motorbikes (in storage in MA) and drop everything in a container in Newark to ship to UK, then go back to KY and see if Peanut could be readied for the journey to the Get Together.

So I gain with one hand and lose with the other! Unless the US Get together slips into July....then as Arnie says 'I'll Be Back'.

Vycan has offered to take over the "Classic Motor Home Get-Together" planning for me. Greatly appreciated as the 370LE seems to be consuming all of my time. Regards, Bob

Thanks Bob, you did a bang up job putting it together out in Pennsylvania. Lots of energy getting that together.

Vycan, if you end up locating the get together in KS we might be able to make it on the way to Colorado. Depends on the dates.

We will be in CO in August. If you make it before or after the 17/18th, we can be there!

Team, I am looking at mid June for the get together. I am still researching locations. The first year was in Colorado, the second year was in Pennsylvania, I am currently looking at the Midwest for this year. I am thinking the Mammoth Cave area. Thoughts?

Classic Motor home get together

Midwest would be fantastic!!!!
PLEASE, PLEASE make it the weekend of June 9th!! Both weekends after that are impossible for me and I SOOOO want to be at our gathering this year now that I finally have a working motorhome! I live in the Midwest and really want to be there badly.
But isn't Mammoth Cave in Kentucky? Kentucky isn't a Midwest state. Just curious. But regardless, I want to be there!!
Please make it the weekend of June 9th!!

Tap, you're correct on all counts. It is in KY, and I mistakenly believed KY to be midwest. I have noted your preference for dates. Anyone else?

I also have several favorite spots in Kansas, but thought that would be too self-serving. Understand Mike and Lynn would appreciate here, anyone else want to come out here?

location location

Hey Vycan,

We couldn't make it to the east coast this year. We'd have to wait for the next opportunity. If you're considering still considering a location in the west we could probably do it. I wouldn't want you to move it on our account, though, because the timing might not work for us.

I've never been to an Airforums get-together and I'd really like to make a classic get-together happen sometime soon.

Classic Motor home get together

I'm so excited for another Classic Motorhome get together!

I thought I'd post a shot of the beautiful group at last year's event in Penn Wood:

Its starting to seem that a western chapter of the classic motorhome ohana needs to come together and plan something west of the Rockies so we over this way can join the fun of classic motorhome gatherings.

Not me, but someone more organized could step up and get the ball rolling.
The PNW or northern Ca. Sound inviting once the summer heat sets in.

Ideas anyone? Volunteers?

Cheers Richard
