We are currently in Golden CO. If you need us to scout an area, we can do so. We are picking up our new-to-us 1989 Airstream 345 today and can't WAIT for this gathering!!!!! We've been wanting to go back down to Garden of the Gods anyway. We can be reached at: spotthescotts@gmail.com for any direct communications and we are happy to help :-D
Now that we are actually purchasing this you can put us down as a for sure attendee.... unless it gets pushed to past May 15, when we are leaving Colorado for several months.
Thanks! Can't wait!

Just checking you realize Colorado was the location for the first get together, last year? This year is in Penn Wood, PA

Okay, I've been confused obviously by the thread and the fact it goes way back! I thought I saw a current message where someone was talking about Steamboat and Colorado Springs.
I guess I need to know then when this is expected to happen for sure so I know if we can make it. Since we are in CO, that might be too far for us depending when it is. Thanks!

Don't feel bad. There is something about owning one of these beasts that brings into question the quality of the grey matter between the ears. There are several names for it but whatever you call it we all seem to suffer from it.

Come on!!!!! You can do it, hop on US36 east, beautiful drive to Champaign Il then I74 east. We made two trips to Clear Creek Campground in Golden twice this past year. Love that little spot. .........(it would be a long haul to Pennwood though)

I'm in Boulder getting the 94 ready for the trip to Michigan. Might try that route. Been back and forth on I80 so many times, a change would be nice. Any recommendations on places to camp for the night(s)?

Dave we tried 5 different spots between the two trips. Working west to east; Lyons Park in Atwood KS, a little funky but fine for an overnight, all proceeds go to the local Lions Club...Prairie Dog State Park near Norton KS, very pretty state park....Washinton City Park Campground, nice little spot for an overnight, $15 drop box, elec n water......Pershing State Park Mo, very nice....Long Branch State Park Mo, very nice...
US 36 is in great shape and we thoroughly enjoyed the drive. I had only taken the interstates before and this was much more interesting.

I'm fine with lining up the way you would like to. Once you figure out who will be on either side of me, I'd like to message them and see what their feelings on dogs are. Ours are definitely coming and it people don't care for barking or have children that are afraid of dogs, I am fine with being put somewhere else a site or two away. Our female is an absolute angel, ya would never know she was there, but the male is 75lbs of high octane energy. We've tried lots of training and suggestions from other people but nothing helps, at least he's a happy boxer!

I am thinking the order will be Brad's '74 (or the collection of parts from it that he is bringing for folks), our '75, then you Matt, then Joseph's '77......
We are fine with dogs, but wont have ours with us.....she just landed back in the UK.

Normally would love to, we are full timers and will go anywhere, but we have to be in Colorado right now til May 15th for several family and medical reasons. I was all excited thinking this get together was in Colorado, didn't realize this thread has been going for a couple years. Hopefully we can catch it next year. Plus we just bought the '89 345, haven't even figured out how well things are working yet so that would be a pretty long trial run for its first time out!

Thinking about it.....can the little 20s get a discount because we only take up half the space of the bigger rigs?

Classic Motor home get together
Bob (and the rest of the gang),
Count me in too!
Here's my info:
1981 Airstream classic 280
Coming from St. Paul, Minnesota (13 hour drive)
It will probably be just me, and I have no pets.
I'm a total newbie, so if there's any way that I could have one of the spots with hook-ups, I'd be SOOO grateful.
I won't have very good, if any, boondocking equipment, since mine is a work in progress.
Any other Minnesotans coming? How about Wisconsinites?
Thanks and I can't wait to meet you all!

As of now all 15 full hook up sites are taken...plenty of room for dry camping though...Pennwood is such a great place, they are very happy to have 15 motorhomes gathering at their Airstream park. They have never had that many. Keep in mind Tap that there may be cancellations .....I will keep everyone posted. I never thought we would get the park full....I am really looking forward to our "get together"

Is there any opportunity to 'daisy chain' the hook-ups or even run multiple rings from one hook-up?
For example we only need 30amp connection, but never go over 20amp. If the full hook-up post has a 50amp/30amp/20amp receptacles we can use an adapter into the 20amp and still leave the 30amp receptacle for someone-else?

Martin's right! If you hook up two 20's minus one cockpit you really only have one 370.
Don't worry about it Taps, we'll figure something out. Heck I have a good Marquis propane generator that's pretty quiet and plan on BBQ'ing anyway. It's all good.
Funny how we're ecstatic to get a 15 count of Classic moho's, when 15 trailers for an event would be considered a wash out.
Cheers
Tony

Just been looking at probable routes; its early days but I think the 'southern' route is best for us, hopefully overnighting somewhere near Joseph on Thursday night.

I'm very excited for this gathering!
Now I just have to hope that my 280 makes it there in one piece. Hehe! 😁
