Classic Motor home get together

Watched that weather go through on the radar. Looked a bit ďexcitingĒ for a bit. Glad to hear no damage. Sorry we couldnít make this one. Hope to see everyone at the next one.

Here is hoping that the weekend continues great for this classic motorhome get together.
For future events having good internet is important to be able to share it with all of us too far away to join in.

Looking forward to the stories and pics.

Cheers Richard

PS, look at what popped up above while I was typing.
That must be a new record for the most people inside a classic at one time, thats what Id call a gathering!
Thanks for the cool gleaming pics.

We had a blast at the meetup, it was great to meet everyone and put faces to names!

And yea, we had 12 people in Tonys 310, the rear lounge is definitely good for lounging!

Looking forward to the next one!

Fantastic weekend, with a great crowd of people that are really getting to know, and be comfortable around each other. A real bunch of "candu" people that respect each others strengths and abilities.

What was really great to have happen this weekend was some young blood come to the meet. Now I don't have the "old gits" calling me, at 53 years old, "young buck or whipper snapper" anymore; that crown has been handed down to Rob.
Don't let that fresh face fool you though; definitely a "candu" guy with a helluva full head on his shoulders that gained the respect of the old gits pretty fast.

Thanks Bob for setting this weekend up as usual, and hoping that I'm good and ready for next years events.

Cheers
Sidekick Tony

Thanks for the kind words Tony, you old gits have plenty of wisdom to share!

We're praying everything goes well for you!

To all the folks at the Penn Wood rally I want to extend our many thanks for a great weekend. We really enjoyed the short stay
Sorry you all missed my departure attempt before dawn this morning
Good thing Bob was there and is kicking around his rig at 5:30 Am
Sinking in the rolling soft ground I hung up my step so Bob Afro engineered a few ratchet straps to my car so I could use the 175 hp in the car to pull/bend the step back to where it could be raised
Finally got going about dawn
Good thing Bob had the common sense to quickly determine that those steel step support were not going to yield to the force of a mere mortal
Bob conscripted the help of my Honda Civic to pull hard enough to straighten it out
I thought for a while I would have to go home and get my F250 diesel and 700 ft lb of torque to get that sucker bent back
Mind you all this was being done in the dark on the wet bull pen with banjos playing off in the distance
Percarious at best but Bob goterdone
6 hrs later we got home after being beaten to near death on the Ho Chi Minh trail ( I -80)
Other that a few cracked vertibrae from I-80 we are in good shape and Home in time to pick up the grand kids after school
Bob has me convinced that the $10,000 for the HWH air ride install is the only way I can stay on the road
Iíll call the suckers tomorrow
Any way we had a great time BSin with every one
I got s bunch of stuff to fix on my rig now so I can go out and do it all over again
Iím going to have to do the air ride before heading out to Arizona. I canít deal with I-70,I-40 and rt 66 again
I donít think Iíll be eating any chicken any more either after listening to that Sheriffs report on the Farm boys he locked up
Enjoy
Richard

Glad you didn't get too stuck, I was worried about that on that wet grass!

Mud tires might look pretty good on these. Could go well on a "mad max" build... start with a 345... Add a cow catcher to the front... I like this idea...

It sounds like you guys had a great time. Might I ask that you put some names with the faces in the pic so us folks on the left coast might learn who everybody is. I really would love to join in the fun but a 6000 mile drive for a weekend is more than I can handle.

Richard, Rita and I enjoyed your campfire tail. It was much more entertaining than any ghost story plus we got survival training for the backwoods of Pennsylvania. Sorry I wasn't there for your muddy departure. Hope to see you, Nancy and Ruby again soon.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate that. One should never let cheesecake go to waste.
