So, getting back to our little 'get together'. Being my very short memory. I would like some clarity:
At this time how many are planning to attend?
How many spots are available?
Do I need to send someone some $$ in advance?
Do we make our own reservations?
Is this a dry county?
Who's in charge of the tow rope?
I know all this is somewhere in the thread, but I feel lazy today.

Ok yeah. Dry counties abound in the South. Even trying to buy alcohol in a regular county on Sunday can be dicy.

As an odd note, the Jack Daniels Distillery is in a dry county. They can make it there, but canít sell their product on site. Interesting tour, though. And it smells nice downwind on a cool day...

Classic Motor home get together

Iíll put a list together today.

10 sites are reserved. Havenít assigned individual spaces. Figured Iíd post a map and let everyone choose. I put a $5 a night deposit on each. Just pay the balance when checking in. Iíll have site numbers soon under my name.

Sorry I havenít been more active. Weíve been dealing with osteomyelitis in my momís ankle. Had to move her to a care facility while she goes through 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. Possible amputation. We want her back home but she wonít cooperate with PT and OT for rehab. We canít provide the level of care she requires at the current time. Spending a lot of time trying to keep her spirits up and give her hope to work toward coming home.

She not handling the transition well. We moved from Colorado 3 years ago to move in with my folks and care for them. Lost dad unexpectedly last April. Itís been a difficult year.

Thanks for understanding.

We will be there. Going up a week early to hunt mushrooms. Really looking for the break. We really need it.

Iíll get the list up tonight.

Happy Easter everyone!

Dave...

Dave, on the list of priorities, we rank way down there.

Lots of prayers for your family; don't worry about us, we'll figure it out when we get there.

Bob isn't use to being told where to go anyway.

Cheers

I think we are all set. Lots to do and see up there. Nothing requiring forward planning.

We are still planning on a trip to Colorado on April 12th to fetch the 94 which is in dry covered storage. If everything goes as planned, Iíll have both the 94 and 95 up there.

Weíll give Bob first choice.

It warms my heart to be back here with my buddies. You guys are family to me.

So what is the final word on where this gathering is going to take place? And the dates?

Thanks!

Iím hoping to take the ferry across Lake Michigan. Iíve always wanted to do that. I know itís pricey, but it would be fun and is sure a much more direct route for me from Minneapolis rather than going South or North of the long lake.
