I think its pretty fun to take a glance back in the existing thread. Conjures up memories of the trip for me.

We are a fringe rabble to the MAINSTREAM community anyway. With our old beasties.
And I sort of like that status.

What's to be gained by putting ourselves into the contaversial mix of the club.

Those of us that want to participate in club activities should join and enjoy.
Let's not make our group exclusive to just members.

Also I like the ongoing saga of the original thread continuing.

Thanks for keeping things moving with the gatherings.

We may have to develop a western wing soon.

Why don't we have a secret handshake???? Wagon wheel setup, communal fire pit, potlucks, timed hitching and unhitching matches to Nascar spec (only applicable to those who tow toads for us I guess). Cowboy hats, blue berets, timed rally's and visiting a place where they burn a dude. I hear the trailer people toss their WBCCI numbers in a pot and do the swinging swapping thing, or is that an urban legend?; we're missing out!

We just stand around comparing the amount of space in out respective engine bays and pray our diesels will light up in the cold.

I have never found much joy in following the pack, the air is always cleaner out front.

My kids forced me into this Motorhome, and I cant imagine us having anywhere near as much fun in a trailer.

I dont think we would have all made it back from our 12,000 mile 6 week Alaskan journey this summer in one piece in a trailer.

I smoked out the neighborhood when I lit the old 6BT this morning, good thing they are amused with my strange treasures.

There is a good chance that we will be spending the week prior to this get together in the general vicinity.

Maybe, just maybe I'll have my 'Silver Bullet' on the road again! Fixing to order her a new (rebuilt) Allison 6 speed w/all the controls next week.
The real question is; should I close the '454 to Cummins' and start '4L80e to Allison 1000'? Or. As this thread is continuing... so must the original 454 to Cummins.

Unfortunately Chrissy and I will not be able to make it this time. We leave June 10 for Barbados and return on June 17. If something changes then I will let you know. I expect a ton of pictures!!
