Pretty sure it was towards the end of the weekend, Brad. And actually we did chat briefly. You pointed out that your roll was chief mechanic and pit crew, your wife at the time being the driver.
What a cool weekend too, the Walter Mitty vintage races that year featured Triumph as the marque of that year, you must have been in heaven with all the pristene examples to be seen.
Cheers Richard

Race weekends were always a blur, you could have walked up and given me a thousand dollars and I probably wouldn't remember you or the money!
Generally at the tracks we spent as much time catching up with friends as anything else. Race weekends for the most part were fun unless I had car issues which unfortunately were all to common I was never much of a "crew chief".
As the saying goes, "the way to make a small fortune in racing is to start with a large one"!

FYI, the 370 for sale in idaho, the seller is willing to take 5k for it. Looks like it is a good candidate for restoration, all the wood pieces are there. As an indication, the battery box had surface rust, but no holes in it.
If I wasn't 2000 miles away i probably would be jumping on it.

Classic MoHos For Sale?
I said $5k was the number. Didn’t realize it was so far away from you. Guess I’m still adjusting to the sheer size of the wonderful country after 18years!
Bob needs a new project!

Yea, would probably take me a thousand in gas just to get her home. Would still be worth it, but I'm not comfortable moving that fast on one, and driving through Idaho in snowy season isn't when I want to learn to drive a 30 year old bus
Pics attached, if I'm not gonna jump on it I hope it gets to a good home soon

I see nothing that is or was worse than mine.
Battery tray is normal, and in the grand scheme, cheap to fix. $20 if you own a welder, or $200 if you know a welder!
Cabinets coming away from the ways is almost normal, as they are just ST screwed to the 0.32" inner skins.
Vinyl wallpaper is just shrinkage, and glue breakdown with age. Dislike it anyway!
Someone please save this rare queen!

My battery drawer was badly corroded on the 84. I sandblasted it, reinforced it with fiberglass and then used truck bed coating for protection. Cheap and fast fix

Yep, everything he sent me looks like not a big deal.
For some reason he can't find a buyer.

The 370 couch? I can give you the sellers email.
He made some comment about parting it out and turning it into a flatbed hauler if he couldn't sell it.
Most likely full of it

Thanks for clearing that up! turbocharging the 454 didn't sound like it made sense...
