Alright...So I thought I found the Airstream of my dreams....1989 Airstream 345LE for sale on ViewRVS.com. Absolutely AWESOME....so I contact the owner and request more pictures. Even better the interior is exactly what I'm looking for Blue leather ! current pictures from MI. are available on this link https://www icloud.com/sharedalbum/8025yeZFhCEcNU WELL it appears that the photos offered up on ViewRVS.com were taken 20 years ago...the first thing that I saw were the AC units on the roof did not match. The outside is in terrible condition. Worse than the 325 was when I bought her in Chicago 2 years ago. I really don't feel like doing everything that I did to the 325 all over again for this Airstream.....I think I am still going to wait for the 350 that I really want. I thought about offering the daughter who is selling the unit $15,000.00, they are asking $24,000.00 but the amount of work required just in materials as far I can see is going to close to about $20,000.00 and that does not include my labor. Still need the other three rims for my 325 though.....Regards, Bob

Bob, I looked the pictures of that 345 and thought, lucky Bob, found a real jewel. How disappointing that those pictures are 20 years old. Being an active Airstream restorer and seller, I despise that kind of misleading advertising...
Can you please repost the link to the pictures on icloud

Airstream 325 on Ebay

1986 Airstream Limited 325 34ft Class A RV Coach motorhome Great Condition | eBay

I am not sure if this was posted before. This one doesn't look too bad - its got some miles (120k), but looks like it was well maintained and upgraded. Has some unresolved generator issues.

But if you scroll down to the end of the photos you see the damage to the passenger side rear panel. How do you go about fixing that dented panel? It doesn't look like the window frame was damaged, but its hard to tell for sure. From the description it sounds like the panel has been that way for some time.

Also looks like the plastic piece between the bumper and the body has been damaged - I understand that these parts are no longer available and you would have to repair/make a new one.

That's a nice 92', that drive to the west coast would be a killer for me...the price is not unreasonable and I have requested more pictures. Thanks for keeping your eye out for me...Regards, Bob

Maybe I can get the what is left of my 78 donor dropped off at Ben's and get this one picked up on the way back? Is there anything on it you need Brad? From the photos it looks like a rear bed so the pano windows alone are worth the asking price.

Sometimes I do which I had the trailer/TV setup (36ft gooseneck trailer and 2500HD) that the guy who shipped my 20ft from Florida and then bought the 28ft donor back from New Hampshire! Actually on second thoughts I don't, I would have so many 'carcasses' laying around, that I could start a scrap yard.

It looks to be a 24, 26, or 28 footer.

If the windshields aren't cloudy they would be tempting as mine are clouded all the way around. I've been planning to address that issue when or if I ever get close enough to paint.

I don't need the cockpit windows but I'm sure there are plenty of people that could use them.

I could haul 20s all day long with my F250 and 18' flatbed but anything longer and I'd have to get a different trailer. Fortunately I don't have the time to make trips like that!

Dang! That's cheaper than it cost to ship the 345 from eastern Oklahoma to central Kentucky.

If it's shipped the transporter would need to know up front that the motorhome isn't running and would have to be winched on board.

I did a UShip quote for the 20fter I was looking at buying and I couldn't get anyone at their recommended price. I got someone who quoted me around $1500 though when UShip said $600. So in the end hopefully someone will get in touch with you for a real price but even at $2000 to ship it, $3000 for the RV is cheap. It's interior looks to be in decent shape.

-Dane

EDIT: Nice 26fter for sale for a great price! http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/rvs/5350039295.html

Either that, or now we know where money goes when it leaves the stock market.
