Diesel pushers are rare. Last year four were on the market and sold. The one in California for 100k, shinned up solar, inverter. One in the south east for 70k, reupholstered and custom tile. Other two were stock, but didn't get the final prices. With only 27, four on the forum, and those four, plus this one that leaves 18, assuming more are not rotting.

I think a lot of it is hype with regard to the price. However for this particular one I would offer 10k with the statement. "I will offer you 10k, and can have it to you this weekend." Then I would order a Cummins 6BT crate engine. Get good same towing. Then you have option 1: find reputable mechanic, or option 2: bring your tools to install yourself. Then you could have an aesthetically "meh" diesel pusher for around 20k... the exterior aesthetics could be taken care of with about 40hrs of prep time and some clear coat except the vinyl pinstriping. That would require a removal and re-application. I would suggest removing, and then coming up with a custom one.

I was toying with the idea of buying that classic pusher and renovating it to sell today. Realizing I had no time to do so, was the sobering part, but while I was looking at the advertisement on craigslist, I did notice it is missing all the small awning options.

Also very concerned there are no interior shots. Based on the outer delamination from what I can only assume is the Arizona sun, I would expect the following:
1. Faded interior
2. Sun damaged woodwork
3. Drooping ceiling vinyl
4. loose mouse fur

Overall this could be a great find, but without the interior pictures and time to work on it, I passed on this very bad, yet fun idea.

I need another project like I need....

I'm betting the engine damage is beyond what can be done in the chassis to yield a reliable engine. If it spent its life in Arizona it could be very clean from a corrosion and rot standpoint.

I see engine deals like this one all the time. Just something to ponder. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-Cummins...d=321444333629

I'm pretty sure this has been uploaded before but maybe second time lucky. Not running needs supposedly a new tranny. Kinda banged up at the front.

1985 Airstream 325 RV Motorhome | eBay

20 hrs left, reserve not met.

Cheers

Anybody got a 6BT 12 valve I can borrow??

I was initially looking for a project exactly like that. I wanted to put a modern drivetrain out of a 300-350hp wrecked motorhome. Put it on reyco Granning air ride. Polish the exterior and completely modernize the interior.

The one I found is in too good of shape to molest. But instead of a 5 year project we've gotten 20,000 miles of use out of it.

If it wasn't 1000 miles away I'd probably be dealing on it.

For anyone considering it, the 360 pusher, unlike the overstuffed front engine compartment models, would be easy to stuff about any engine/tranny combo into.

6 days left and she's already at 15k.....I see this one breaking the bank and setting a new benchmark for pricing.

However don't believe the "no reserve" part of the listing as trust me they have a set price for this rig and if it isn't surpassed in bidding the sale is "ended due to being sold locally". That's why they encourage people to call for the "buy it now price, as most units are sold before listing ends". What a crock. So much for an auction....you're bidding against the house, and we all know the house wins.

Cheers
Tony

Stunning exterior, with lots of attention to detail and nice interior staging. Terrible Floor plan and very little mechanical info.

Now there's a solution to traffic! No need to shoot, just lock on and track for a few moments. Recoil would probably wrinkle the skin, though

I'm new at this, but how about
1984 Airstream 310 - $17500 (Oakland Park)
https://miami.craigslist.org/brw/rvs/4866003165.html

or
28' 1979 AIRSTREAM EXCELLA MOTORHOME $38000 (EDGEWATER, FL)
+++++ 28' 1979 AIRSTREAM EXCELLA MOTORHOME +++++

Please excuse me if those have been for sale for a long time, or are scams. I've just started shopping as opposed to dreaming. Now if only I could find one on this coast.

Looks like someone grabbed the 360 pusher in Phoenix. Anyone here?

Whew, I'm relieved. It's been haunting my dreams since I saw it. And I will be heading down to Phoenix this week and could have gotten myself in trouble as I have no place to be doing a engine change et all. The space next to me here in Chino valley is a half full storage space. And I have been visualizing the pusher sitting there. Between my 345 and the 20 avion that is in the far side of the space. Whew

All the best to the new owner.
Cheers Richard
