Haha, that was easy! ok, I take the rest, dismantled, labeled and packed for shipping

Kidding aside, I know Roqueford is still desperately looking for the rear right Pano and he needs panels around it as well.

The generator door is priceless and so are all the windows. I understand about the trouble you went through with the 345, getting rid of the frame with the floor attached. You have the room and equipment, you just are reluctant to charge a fair amount for all the trouble you would go through.

I have the room as well (pending protesting neighbors), but would feel the same way about it as you do. I would only consider it, if folks would arrange for the pick-up/shipping themselves.

Since we are ganging up on Brad...
I would be interested in the 310 emblems and the cabinet door that goes to the right of the fridge (where my ice maker used to be).

I think it's time to see just how serious everyone is about the parts they're wanting and just what they will go through to get them

I think the old saying "put your money where your mouth is" just might apply

I've sent an email to the seller but have yet to hear back. The Craigslist ad says to make offer. What is unknown is whether this 310 even runs and drives. If it runs and drives that means getting it to my place is relatively easily. If it doesn't the transport will cost a small chunk of change and that cost will need to be spread out of the parts that are sold.

Having dismantled and scrapped a 345 and a 31' Excella trailer I have a pretty good idea of what's involved in trying to provide parts and spares for others. Even with the appropriate tools and equipment on hand it is NOT a trivial exercise. Each time it took from three to six months to deal with the dismantling and eventual scrapping of the leftover carcass. The overall time is actually longer because I don't have time to do this sort of thing on a continual basis.

As Peter alluded to there are a variety of parts that are made of unobtainium on these rigs. One would think that would mean I should be able to charge whatever price I wanted and people would pay. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. There's an upper limit to what someone will pay and going beyond that just means you sit on the part forever until you find someone with deep pockets and wants the part at all costs. Trust me, that very seldom if ever happens. The other side to that is I just don't have the stomach to charge someone an arm and a leg for a part. Therein likes the dilemma. How does one go about making enough money to justify the expense, time and effort to dismantle one of these rigs.

This may surprise some of you but I still have a few parts left from the 345 and the Excella that I've never sold. Just the other day I was contacted by someone looking for a part for their 345 that surprisingly I actually had. I asked them to make an offer, they did and now we're waiting to make sure the part is compatible with what they need.

That should give you an idea as to just how long this process can take. And, just so you understand, I did NOT make a profit on the Excella and I might have broken even on the 345. The only saving grace for the 345 was the fact that I used a bunch of those parts on my Argosy rebuild and on repairs for my old 310.

OK, it's time to see just how serious everyone is

If there is a part you want then you need to decide just how much that part is worth to you. Once you've decided that, post to this thread stating the part you desire, the amount you're willing to pay AND the amount you're willing to pay for shipping or whether or not you will pick up in Richmond Kentucky. If the part can't be shipped for what you're willing to pay I'll let you know real quick. I can safely say shipping prices for anything have gone through the roof. Just the other day I sent an oil pan and valve cover to a guy in Santa Cruz and it cost $130 just for shipping. Keep that in mind when you provide your estimate.....

Should the total dollar amount reach the point where there is enough to purchase and transport (if needed) the 310 to my place and leave me with a little extra cash to pay for my efforts then the next step will be for everyone to send their pledged amount to Peter. Once Peter has the cash in hand then I'll make the purchase (using my funds) assuming it is still available. When I get the part off and ready to ship and/or pickup then he will send that money to me. That seems fair, too me at least

Keep in mind, if the selling price of the 310 is cheap then parts can be cheap, if it's expensive.....well you get the idea.

Once Peter has the money you can't back out of the deal.

So, lets see just how serious everyone is

Oh yeah, one other thing......I hope all ya'll have nice Thanksgiving!

Brad

The obvious issue with Brad is, he always goes all out! Let me explain it a little better: I would text Brad about some tiny little issue with some irrelevant little wire and next thing I know, I am pulling out the fuel tank.
I think this may be Brad's way of repeating his first response

Or could it be that Brad's Calendar is stuck on April 1, despite his Thanksgiving wishes?

Hi Brad,

I would take the rear curbside banana wrap. It's not visible on the pictures if it's fully intact. But if so it's worth $200 for me plus shipping up to $150 (I'm in Germany but if shipping is too expensive it could be shipped inside the US and I pick it up on my next trip to Washington, D.C. after the travel bans are lifted).

I just purchased a 290 which is still in California but to be shipped soon to Europe. It might appear that I also need further parts but can't commit to anything yet.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mario

In post #3072 (three up from yours) Brad says he contacted the guy.

I guess he thinks there are at least 2 interested parties now and will try and drive the price up.

I've got a bunch of little junk I'm after
The only big thing is my rear pass quarter has a bit of damage. Not enough to warrant big bucks as I can live with it, but I'd readily pay $100 for it.

Very unlikely, but if the taillight bezels are in good shape i would pay $50 for those as well.

I would also pay $50 for a set of hubcaps as one of mine is pretty bent up, and maybe some interior doodads like the bedroom clock and valence over the sink, if there are pictures of the interior. Looks like a rear twins unit and I see curtains but nothing else. I'd probably take the whole control panel above the cabinets too as I have dreams of stealth-digitizing it.

Oh, and if it has the larger electric box, i would love to steal that upgrade as well. Not critical as I could always fab one, but if it's there...

If getting the big quarter panel, would pick up. If not, whatever you estimate for shipping is fine.

So you've got me for a couple hundred there
