That's a decent deal if the coach is as described.

Are you referring to the MH in this link or a separate listing?

my3sonsdad, how did you get the CarFAX on that RV? Did you pay $40 for it? Or is there another way to do it?

No free carfax that I know of unless the owner has one already and makes it available. Some proactive sellers will do so.
When I’m actively searching I usually go the multi report subscription route (6 for $99) which is what I did to get this one.
Something the owner shared that doesn’t directly show up in a carfax: the prior owner used it as a park model, so it’s basically been sitting for the last 10 years....still showing ~70k miles on it (he believes it’s working)

Not quite ready to pull the trigger, which is why I posted here. Owner now has a pending offer.

Sorry y'all, showed it to the wife yesterday and she said lets make a trip (1000 mile round trip) and take a look at it. Well after a crawling around under it and a nice test drive today, we are now currently 310 and 350LE owners. Got to get new tires on it (13 years old) and some other small service stuff and will be bringing it home to Tennessee later this month.

Hello all, I'm new here. My wife and I have been wanting an Airstream for a while. We are looking for a 310, preferably a TD. Please keep us in mind if you see one for sale and are not looking for one yourself. :-)

Welcome Luis! I suppose you know that there are 2 types of Airstream Motorhomes:
One that has been sitting neglected for 10 plus years and needs everything
And the other that has been painstakingly and meticulously restored by one of us.
The price will reflect the difference and the physical inspection by yourself or a knowledgeable person will confirm it.
I personally traveled thousands of miles to look at lies, be aware!

Realizing it is not the easiest thing to write/speak about, but Tony's 310 TD is listed on the classifieds. I am sure John ( https://www.airforums.com/forums/mem...d57-48957.html) can give an precise report on it's condition.

I was also concerned about the paperwork and risk involved in getting it registered here in California, being that it is registered in Canada. Is that valid? Or is it much simpler and not much risk involved in doing so?

Generally the purchase price of one of these rigs is considered the down payment for buying one. Once purchased you frequently end up investing a whole lot more than originally planned to bring it up to good operational and usable standards.
In the case of Tony's 310 that more than likely will not be the case. Tony did a phenomenal job of repairing and upgrading their 310.
I would say in this case for $45k there won't be much you would need to spend money on. Tony's work is well documented here and there are a lot of members of this forum that have seen the 310 first hand. Something to consider as you shop for rigs.
Good luck in your search
Brad

Thank you Brad. I very much appreciate the input, for it solidifies that this 310 was well taken care of and one we would love to bring home. It is definitely more of a current budget issue. However, I am hoping we could make something happen. I am researching what is required to bring a rig over the border and register it in California. It is not straight forward, but it doesn't seem as bad as I thought it would be. I need to continue to research that.
