It’s not really all that bad. The WTEC ECU is a stand alone controller. The only interface to the Cummins 5.9 12 valve is a throttle position sensor. There is a cute vehicle interface module (VIM) to simplify mating it to the vehicle and its well documented. There are a lot of 1990s motorhomes out there that are potential donors.

Thought my 350LE was a 1991 model however it has the flat rear storage compartment cover, not the extended/mock spare earlier version that is in the pics of the above 350LE?

Fascinating, someone might save off that Craigslist post and all the pictures just to document it

Pics from the ebay ad attached. I love how bright that interior feels. Love the blinds.

Though, if you're trying to sell something for $50000, you might want to fix the $5 fog light...

It appears this sold long ago, but it appears a factory diesel 345 may exist! It was on the option list afterall.
Unless of course it's a swap.

Yes, a 345 factory Cummins powered turbo diesel does exist and was sold last year from a forum owner to someone new in the forum's.
Cheers

Wxbouy's Cummins 6BT powered 345 was/is, with it's new owner, the only one I was aware of.
I think Magnet is referencing a conversation I had with him, where I said that I had never seen a 345 with the Isuzu Diesel. I assumed it was not offered on the 345, as I had never seen one, but upon looking thru the option list, I saw it was there.... I just wondered why I hadnt seen one before, and he found that one.

Steve, where can I find "options lists" for Classics? Would love to look through some.

Ive never seen the Isuzu TD in anything later than the 310 model years. Dave had the Cummin and that's the only factory Diesel I'd ever seen in the 345s and now this one with the Isuzu. Pretty cool stuff, wonder if it still lives out there somewhere.

Look at the link, it's not the custom order cummins, it's the standard 6cyl izuzu

Options lists are here, most of the way to the bottom for the motorhomes

Okay, they may have offered the Isuzu, but I highly doubt anyone bought a 345 with the Isuzu. Gas was getting cheap by the day at that time and it would have been hard to quantify spending $15,000+ dollars on a diesel option. $15G's buys you a helluva lot of gas.
I'm 99.9 percent sure the last model Isuzu powered was the 310. I could be wrong........but an Isuzu powered 345, would be an unicorn.
