Now here is a Jewel in the rough
I see it as a great Opportunity to have a Supreme, Limited number manufactured. and very Functional. Drivable Classic.

Yes, one may have to do some dealing to get it for a value one can live with. But that is always a personal matter.

I think after the Purchase. Regardless of what you may pay to own this great M.H. I can see spending $25,000 very easily.

or drive, use and enjoy just the way it is. would work for many.

We are selling our much loved (and sometimes hated)370LE

We are selling our much loved (and sometimes hated)370LE. This RV is in Great condition and is used regularly. We went from Raleigh,NC to Los Angeles last year with it.I have been told that there were only 15 of these ever built,I know of only 8 still in existence.

This RV has had many repairs done since we aquired it in 2007.

2007/08 New Ford 460 Engine new water pump, distributor, ign. coil, ign. module, plugs ,plug wires, carb. rebuilt etc. Transmission overhauled, new Gear Vendors over/underdrive unit installed,Recored radiator.Normal maintenance etc.

2009 All leveling cylinders rebuilt,5 New tires,New front brakes.New Parking Brake shoes and hardware.Normal maintenance etc.

2010 3 New batteries (house batteries are deep cycle Marine batteries) New Dash Air A/C compressor. Replaced all flooring with Marble, Tiled bathroom,Tiled kitchen wall. Replaced blinds with aluminum mini-blinds,had curtains dry cleaned and had all new slide tabs installed on curtains.Shampooed upholstery.Replaced inner spring on awning. Normal Maintenance etc.

2011 Removed 6.5 Onan generator and did complete tune, replaced ign. coil and wires, replaced generator brushes oilchange etc. etc. Lined generator compartment with Dyna-Matt soundproofing material(can barely hear generator from inside).Normal maintenance etc.

I am a truck mechanic and have done all of the repairs since we bought this RV in 2007.

Exterior is overall good condition, paint is pretty good, there is one dent in the left rear that was there when we bought it. Clearcoat is starting to peel on rear.

This RV is ready to head to the beach or where ever right now!!!

We are open to reasonable offers

Hi, I looked at your unit for sale. Have checked with my City's Codes and Compliance earlier this year, as I do actually have room at my home to park an Airstream in the backyard (alley access). My only problem with your rig is that it's too long for the City's codes. I'm limited to 12' height, 8' width and 35' length according to Codes. And, believe you me, they will be there to see that it doesn't go over the limits, as it seems these guys are out to write as many notices as possible lately. Guess it's showing the Mayor they are actually out there doing their jobs??? lol

I would say he is asking Just what he has Invested in the rig including the Purchase price.

someone will snap it up.

OK, take off the Porsche emblem.

I have restored Two A.S. trailers and One 345 is still in the works.

and to get the mechanical s to where this unit is could cost 10, to 15,000 thousand.

If you buy a 10,000 A.S. 345 you can spend 30,000 to bring it to Prime

If you buy a 20,000 A.S. You will spend 20,000 to bring it to Travel trouble free Prime.

If I purchased the ( Polished ) unit in Florida.

after what he has done. I would be HAPPY to spend 10,000 to personalize the special unit.

I showed this unit to my daughter and son in Law and told them that I thought it would be a very nice basic mechanical unit for them to start with and personalize over time. for the $$$

only some one that has never restored. used and Properly maintained a Vintage classic Airstream would argue with that.
Truer words were never spoken... Just finished my 90th strait 12hr day under my 345 and I still can not see the end... svrowan.wordpress.com is were the pics are. I would say no to any one that asks me if thy should put a Duramax in an airstream.

I am sorry your having such a hard time. I am sure we all wish it went easier so we had hope for when it's our turn. Getting ready to take mine on a 1600 mile trip. We will see how my attitude after that trip. I wish you luck.

I may be biased by owning a 1989 345 LE, but when you own one, bias is part of the equation...we looked at several AS mohos, and then we flew to Nashville from Texas, rented a car, drove to Cookesville TN, took one walk through, and bought it on the spot. It came with a toad, and we learned a few things driving it back to TX, but it was the best thing we have done with our retired lives...hard to give up our 68 Overlander, but one driver, one rig...there are a lot of learning experiences to be had,
but the best ones are on the road, where the unit belongs...drive on. pay the expenses, and consider yourself luckier than most folks...mike

Refering to post # 35 & the quote in # 36, instead of a pic all I see is a small box with a red X inside.

Can I do something to view the picture posted?
