Cable tv input

I cant seem to find the cable input on my 310. Ive read here on the forums that it is usually in the compartment where the shore power chord is stowed but ive looked high and low in there to no avail. The PO may have removed it who knows. Do any of you 310 owners know of another spot it may be hiding out? Or was there one in 83, maybe not? Any ideas?

My '83, 310 did not have any cable input system, only the rooftop antenna. I think the cable input came later, like 84 or 85.

Thanks again Idroba, i was kinda guessing that may be the case. I dont see us using it that much but if there is a must see sporting event i could see us wanting cable. I do plan on upgrading the antenna. I have been reading about the JACK antenna, what are your thoughts on an upgrade?

The original Skyliner on my 310 was a fine antenna. They do get tired and pieces become damaged but re build kits used to be available. I am not sure if they still are. The wires themselves (coax or old 300 ohm twin lead) generally need to be replaced with a 30 year old system, at least the outside portion.

But the antenna quality of the original was probably better than any new one available even now, if the parts are all there and the cable is in good condition.

Well alright! Thats good to know. I need to look into a rebuild kit because mine will not retract. It turns with the inside knob but the two "arms" wont do anything when i turn the inside part of the knob.
