I had to take my instrument panel out for repair and made the rookie mistake of not properly labeling the wires. I've been able to figure everything out except the wires for the four switches and lights on the left of the panel (walkway lights, trunk lights, aux lights, etc.). I bundled the respective light and switch wires together but don't know which wire goes to which switch and light terminal. If someone has a wiring diagram or a picture or the back of the panel I would appreciate it. Thanks
Thinking about it a bit more, a pic of your 83 may be helpful. I seem to remember that the designs from 79 through about 83 or 84 were pretty close. At least it'll give me a place to start. This Airstream Frankenstein wiring is giving me fits. On top of it being a 40 yo vehicle, it's a mix of P30, Airstream trailer, and who knows what wiring. I'm used to calling Lectric Limited and getting a nice laminated, color schematic...
Thanks very much! Key was the brown wire that was hot. My indicator light wires are a little different, both are green. After this pic and about a dozen blown fuses I finally figured it out. My incorrect assumption was that both green wires went to the indicator light. One green wire goes to the switch and one to the light. The white wire (or what looks to be white after 40 years) goes to the other pole on the light. Please excuse the picture. I'm a newbie on the forum and have never posted a pic before.
