They look identical. Im watching a 325 airstream for sale that has the rear upper curved section caved in.
When they conclude that scrapping it is probably the only viable option, could I buy the sliders and the steering wheel please?

In 2016 it cost $1,650 to have Peanut (20' Argosy) moved on a flatbed 815 miles from Florida to drop off point in Richmond Kentucky and then another $150 to get it transported the last 5 miles.

With that being said back in 2010 I found a hot shot trucker that charged me $1000 to move a 345 700 miles from Tulsa Oklahoma to Richmond Kentucky.

No! The Donald has decreed that all Americana pieces, stay in America.........Canadians are exempt.

Cost me $280.00 a year Canadian to have my Argosy towed 5 miles. AAA or CAA Premier RV is great piece of mind with 320 kms of towing per incident.

Cheers
Sidekick Tony

Look Brad, all you need is one of these machines to use your flat panels.
Another thing to note: this video shows construction of the end shells of wide body trailers. The pre 94 trailer and motorhomes (narrow body) did not have the curved roof ribs shown here. Its all just supported by connecting roof panels.

Peter, nice video

I don't think I want to spend the money on one of those machines!

Some things in the video surprised me such as workers wearing shorts and no apparent hearing protection.

During the fabrication process it didn't appear they used any seam sealer on the joints and I was impressed with how fast the buck riveting operations went.

it appears they used black seam tape on the inside of the panel. I think last thing those guys want to deal with is tempro or vulkem
And yes, the speed is impressive. To them its probably like mowing grass is for you and Tommy.

I didn't notice the black seam tape. It will be interesting to see what I find if anything when I replace a couple of exterior panels on my 74.

Mowing grass for me I agree with, mowing grass for Tommy is a whole different story. He literally lives to mow grass

The only problem I have with Tommy's method of mowing is he doesn't eat the weeds so I end up with a field of tall weeds and no grass.....

SO... it appears it’s gonna take 3000.00 to buy it. It’s in Maine I’m in Georgia. Plus I don’t even know if it runs. If anyone is interested let me know. It’s at a wholesale salvage yard.

To give you a rough idea of value. I bought and dismantled a 345 that had the front end demolished. Basically anything from the radiator forward was gone. Paid $2000 plus $1000 for transport.

If this 325 is running and driving I think $3000 is a reasonable number. Assuming of course the rest of the motorhome is in usable condition as is.

Just my $0.02

Brad

Darn, I was hoping it is 1000 miles west from you and not North
I would be interested if it would be closer, but not worth the trouble even at $3k
A word of caution, if you plan on driving it. As you probably know the Shell structure is what gives Airstreams structural strength. With the upper rear panels compromised, taking it an an extended trip, could warp the upper and lower side panels beyond repair. I looked at a 34' footer trailer that had the left front lower panel removed and the owner just stuck a piece of aluminum in place with 5 screws. He pulled it hundred of miles and all the side panels had severe warping caused by the missing structural piece.

It's in West Warren, MA. It looks to have damage to the central section of the roof, but difficult to tell from the pictures.....it would be a very good source of spare parts for someone. I think it has a banks system on it.
