88 345. Cosmic Thing

I was hoping to find someone with spare doors from the wood cabinets. Looking to add two to the cabinets across from the couch. Anyone remodeling and have these laying around?

If no luck on finding a used one, you can buy new cabinet doors online. Those are pretty common and simple doors. I bet you can find ones that match or darn close. Just google “buy cabinet doors”, you’ll get several hits. You can usually get with/without finish.

You might try Barker Door, if you can not find used ones.
I have used them for some other doors and reasonably priced and decent delivery time.

75 bucks for one door made new. Ouch. I will try harder to find a used one.

Well I ordered one new door from Cabinetnow.com 55 for the door, 35 to ship it. /sigh. The other door is a slab of Oak. I have the ability to duplicate that at home so I will make my second door. I guess the shipping cost is set at a minimum for these places.

I had remeasured the door and realized that the center door would be two inches smaller than the outer cabinet doors. So finding a used one wouldn't work. It would have been too wide.

On another note I have to replace the front turn signal lights. I could not find a direct replacement and tried the LH Truck site recommended in another thread on this site. I could not be sure from the picture that this was correct and their site was a major PITA to use. They don't allow you to browse the site and just look at the parts. You MUST have a vehicle selected, and they only show very tiny parts with no description or product page.

Anyway I went back to this site. https://www.tacbusparts.com/Lights I have used them for my windshield wipers and they had some turn signal lights that will work. Nearly the same dimensions. $13 ea. Will report back here once I get them in.

Mark, I replaced mine with LED's . Just have to swap out the signal flashers to use them. One is in the fuse compartment, the other in chaos land behind the dash.

I have LED's in the back. I have them for the front but I could never get the blinker to work. I didn't realize there was two flasher units? You can get away with one set of LED's in the mix.

one flasher is for the turn signals the other for the emergency flashers. The other option for the front LED's turn signal is to use Light load resistors, which is someone redundant, since they use equal to the power saved by the LED's

This is the flasher module you want to use if you are going LED lights. You have to ground the lead coming out the top of the unit. No load resistors needed and works for both turn signals (blinkers here in the south ) and emergency flashers. (2 modules) Good for up to 25 amps. Have them in the 310 and 350LE, works great!

Mill Supply use to have the complete housing and lens, OEM replacements for our units. They are NLA from them. Here is the number for your search anyway.

When they had them last year:
Amber Parking Lamp Assembly on the GM Chassis Stepvan
Part Number: 66-152
Price: $54.50

This side marker lamp popped up while looking for that.
https://www.vehiclesafetysupply.com/...xoC4MUQAvD_BwE

Is that the right unit for our running lights? Some of mine are really sun damaged

I would use the more expensive LED version for the running lights. The 1 wire design helps with the tight space behind the light. These are polarity sensitive and sometimes need a little shaving to fit the marker light castings.

Below are two links to sources for original replacement light assemblies for the front turn lights on the Argosies and Classics.

TY. Google came up with no hits using that part number. I have others ordered but if they don’t work out I can get these and use LED bulbs I already have.

Well our inaugural event went pretty well except for a couple of leaks. Considering the causes of these leaks , I have come to a conclusion that while on the hydraulic lifts the RV sags ever so slightly. The picture below shows The cross bar in the middle of the front windshield. There is a weld here that is cracked. While on the jacks in our last location the wheels had to be slightly off the ground to get the coach level. This caused a separation in this crack of about 1/8 of an inch. This in turn, caused a pretty significant leak around the passenger side glass that runs down the A pillar and soaks the floor under the seat. This has been going on for sometime. I have another section of floor to replace. And probably some carpeting to. Anyone have any words of advice about addressing this, especially this weld.

Follow up.

Check out the window channel to glass alignment.
It’s like the glass is to small for opening. This is the one original piece. The butyl was barely touching the glass. I just pulled it out all along the top of the window. Clearly this is my leak.
