'83 - 310 Classic - spare tire cover

The previous owner of my 310 lost the spare tire cover in road construction in Indiana several years ago. He searched for a replacement, but had no luck. Does anyone know where I can get another one, and how much it will cost? Thanks for your help!

You are not alone in looking for one...
I believe Andy at Inland RV said they are still available from Airstream.

My dad removed the spare, mount and cover about 15 yrs ago. I still have it and not sure what to do with it. My dad drove many thousands of miles without a spare

Another option would be to store the tire under or inside, make a flat Alloy cover...

If you still have the spare tire cover, would you like to sell it?

Thanks Keyair. I was thinking of the flat aluminum cover too.

They had a bad habit of coming loose, I solved the problem the old fashioned way: duct tape wrapped around the interior latches. Problem zero after my "fix".

I think that the spare and cover on Dadstoy are bumper mounted, not built into the back of the body like on our 310's.

Did anyone confirm that they are still available?
If not, I could take a mould off mine before I paint it, and make some...
