81 Excella 280 Turbo Diesel - windshield and drivers side mirror mount?

So my room mates go to park their motorhome next to mine and managed to clip the left front end. The drivers side mirror mount broke in half and the drivers side windshield is broken. I'm supposed to be leaving on a roadtrip in 8 days - any idea where I should start looking for replacement parts? I'm guessing the windshield rubber will need to be replaced in order to install the replacement glass.

Don, I feel for you. 8 days doesn't leave a whole lot of time to find the parts let alone getting the work done.

Can you post a picture of your mirror mount? That might help in identifying something that will work.

As for the window rubber I would definitely replace it while the opportunity exists. You shouldn't have to worry about replacing it again for many years to come.

The windshield should be a relatively easy replacement(divided windshield, right?)...once again, the mantra is CHASSIS..."AIRSTREAM" will cost you a couple of days and $...GM coach with 2 windows should facilitate, but there are threads on this in this forums...replace the window rubber...it should be a relatively universal replacement, but Andy will know. The mirror may have to be modified until a replacement can be found, if you want original...in the meantime, hope you can patch enough to get out there...m
