One of the more difficult wiring jobs I have ever done......welcome to my world. I am still not out of the woods, but pressing on..... the climate control circuit is all wired up, tested, and running, (5)relays. The ignition/parking light/headlight circuit is all wired up, tested, and working, at least for now (LOL) I installed 2 grounding posts on the dashboard frame to make it easier to connect all the gauges and various other grounds to. We’ve been busy at work, doing a few repairs to the 89 tool truck and getting ready for AC season. I changed around the back of the truck where I used to keep tool boxes and added more shelves to hold more if the product that I sell day to day. The new kitchen for the 370LE is being built downstairs so I get to keep an eye on how things are going. I’m going to kill more wiring tomorrow and make an attempt to finish installing the rest of the gauges. Regards, BobClick image for larger version

I spent most of the day snaking/rewiring the transmission controller through the glove box. I have also finalized the gauge installation. Picked out the final cabinet hardware. Still pushing forward.......Regards, BobClick image for larger version

I’ve got most of the new sensors hooked up and the new wiring run up to the dash. It’s hard to keep everything organized behind the dash, the label maker that I bought a few years ago has now paid for itself. The game plan is to hook up all the gauges on Sunday and go for a start up the following weekend......I’ll keep my fingers crossed! Regards, Bob

Another 3 hours to mount the potentiometer for the transmission gear indicator in between the Tach and Speedo. It was definitely not made fir my application, but what is ??? I can’t find the fuel gauge wire in the dash.......so I either cut it out or I’m looking at it and don’t realize what it is......in any event I’ll gave my guy with me this Saturday and I’ll pull the wire from the fuel tank and send some voltage upstream and see if I can locate it. ID:	366320 incidentally, the shifter arm on the transmission is the hardest metal I have ever drilled.....I had to use a carbide pointed bit first to get through it !

Another 5 hours into the dash wiring. I found the fuel gauge sending unit wire....:started as a brown wire and terminated under the dash as a pink wire.....go figure, I guess that’s what happens when multiple manufacturers put together a vehicle. The gauges are all hooked up now with the exception of the sending units wiring being connected to the gauges themselves. I got the digital LED dimmer hooked up for all if the gauges as well as all the grounds and trigger switches for setting the built in red halos within each gauge. I’ll get the rest done this week......hopefully. Regards, Bob Click image for larger version

You could wire them into the stereo with one of those disco light show controllers!

I have several circuits in the 95 that change colors 2 or 3 times. Lucky that the Spartan chassis only uses white wires with imprinted numbers.

Having eliminated Airstream’s useless black (Magic Box), the wiring will be considerably easier to understand. The new gauges have a built in set point that I can adjust up or down and use the built in feature of the red halo that will illuminate when trouble is close. The LED gauge lights are definitely more pleasing to the eye. I mounted the dimmer control in the glove box for easy adjustments. Regards, Bob

OK.....so I think it’s official ! I’ve spent more time in the driver’s seat doing the wiring verses driving the rig ! Still pushing forward working my way left to right, I’m at the tach now.....I got the end panels for the overhead cabinets back from my upholstery guy, we used the same material as the seats. I think they look great. I’m going to try and start it on Sunday, have to drive it to the cabinet shop next Saturday/Sunday for the kitchen install ! Regards BobClick image for larger version
