Good that you went with OE. I was sold 100% compatible that don’t have a time delay, or maybe a very short one. Different dead zone. They definitely use more air.

The Yukon XL is all back together, what a pain in the ass job, I put 20 gallons in the tanks, gauge reads about 1/2, which is about right. I could hear both pumps running when I started it up. LMAO ! The rear pump in the rear tank fills the front tank when the front tank reaches a “ predetermined” level........try to find out what the predetermined level is.......UNKNOWN, by anybody. Oh well, tomorrow we’ll take it and fill it up.....hopefully it doesn’t leak. Going to play around with the front leveling valves on the 370LE tomorrow, Regards, Bob

I do have all sockets and wrenches twice over, but if I load everything up, there is no room left for me to sit down anywhere
So I am looking for a complete sturdy travel kit
your item number does not appear to have the wrenches, your pictures show plus only up to 3/8

Other suggestion very welcome!

Settled for this Dewalt Set as my always onboard tool set. Small and has what I like to have other than the heavy stuff in the specialty toolbox.
Thanks again, Bob, for your suggestion.

Kobalt makes a rather complete set in a case. Look at Lowe’s.

Yes, I did look at that one and decided not to get it because of the bad review of the construction of the case. I have spent way too much time putting sockets back in to their location, because of case latch failures.

Hello Bob
I bought an airstream 370. I am in France. I need to change the front and rear suspension airbags. Do you have the references.
Thank you
Stephane

About 14 hours yesterday on Charly’s 370LE. We had a problem with the Holley carburetor TPS add-on bracket that required complete removal add screwing with to get it working. The wiring is all done, transmission computer hooked up with the exception of a couple of specs that we have to verify with the manufacturer. We got the engine started briefly but are experiencing lack of spark due to either a bad control module or another gremlin I haven’t identified yet. In keeping with Airstream’s CRAPPY wiring practices we decided to retain a few wire nuts for nostalgic purposes. I’m sure Charly’s pretty beat up after my visit this weekend......I was not easy on him. Time for a bottle of wine, Regards, BobClick image for larger version

OK, so it seems all 370LE’s are not the same (a statement to possibly cover a mistake I made) although I am not there to verify it. The 460 is running. Driving back from Boston I realized that I hooked up the PRND2L switch incorrectly (verified) that Monday morning looking at mine. We were trying to start it in low instead of park. Good thing it didn’t start cause the choke was set and it was on fast idle, not to mention that it was still jacked up in the front and resting on 6x6s. In any event I’ll be back there in 3 weeks to tidy up the rest. He’s got a nasty engine oil leak from the rear of the oil pan, God I hope it’s not the rear main seal. Everything else that we did appears to be fine. You have to love “FaceTime” ......makes a lot of things easier. Regards, Bob

With the 396XL out of commission until I figure the overheating concern we’ll have to press the 370LE into service a week early for the Memorial Day weekend. I was really ready to go anyway cause we’re taking it to Rollins Pond in the Adirondacks the following weekend. Cooperstown for the Memorial Day weekend. I really enjoy the 370LE more anyway, no complicated wiring. Although the 396XL is nice, it’s to big. If we don’t go to Idaho in the 396XL , I’m going to sell it. It would be good for full timing in Florida or somewhere else but it’s really a pain in the ass to work on. I have other projects that I want to do to the 325LE and trailer so maybe it’s time to get rid of it. Anyway......I’ll clean up the 370LE and get “r” done. Regards, BobClick image for larger version
